Sandy Bay Beach Club on the west coast of Nusa Lembongan opens daily from 7am to 11pm, sets no minimum spend for its poolside loungers, and prices cocktails at IDR 80-150k before 17.7% tax and service, according to its August 2026 menu. Two things people often miss: the sea in front is not for swimming, and sunset here comes after the last fast boat to Bali has usually left.
7 things to know before you go
- It is a relaxed beach club, not a nightclub. There is an infinity pool facing the bay, a kids' playground, a small children's pool and a kids' menu. The music is acoustic rather than DJ sets, and it closes at 11pm. If you want to party until dawn, look elsewhere.
- Pool loungers are first come, first served. The Lembongan Traveller (published 26 July 2026) and Bali Untold both list no minimum spend; loungers fill from around 11am. The busiest stretch is the run-up to sunset, roughly 4.30-6.30pm.
- Two happy hours a day. The official site lists 3-5pm and 9.30-10.30pm.
- Drink and food prices. On the August 2026 menu, classic cocktails such as mojitos, margaritas, spritzes and negronis cost IDR 80-150k, local craft beer such as Black Sand Brewery's Kölsch is IDR 95k, and sharing plates start at IDR 40k. None of this includes the 17.7% tax and service. Two people with two cocktails and one sharing plate usually spend around IDR 400-500k.
- The live music schedule is inconsistent. The beach club page mentions Acoustic Sunset Sessions every Saturday from 6pm, while the events page lists Live in the Bay with Alfa every Saturday and Sunday from 5.30pm. Check Instagram on the day.
- Stay out of the sea. Waves break hard onto the reef here, and The Lembongan Traveller states plainly that you cannot swim in front of the venue. Use the pool.
- Plan your boat back. Late-October sunset is around 6-6.20pm, while the last fast boats to Sanur generally leave in the afternoon. If you want to stay for sunset, spend a night on Lembongan.
Dress code, age and reservations
The official site lists no dress code; swimwear is normal around the pool, but bring a shirt or sarong for dinner. Children are welcome. The legal drinking age in Indonesia is 21, so carry your passport or a copy; see our guide to the drinking age in Bali. Loungers cannot be booked. For group dinner tables, contact the beach club by WhatsApp or email as listed on the official site.
One safety tip specific to Lembongan
The road from Sandy Bay to Jungutbatu is narrow, hilly and poorly lit. After drinks, do not ride a scooter yourself; arrange a pick-up with your accommodation before you head out. When the swell is big, keep well back from the rocks at Devil's Tear next door. For more on the bay itself, read our piece on Dream Beach and Sandy Bay.
