Entrance tickets at Bali attractions in October 2026 run from Rp10,000 to Rp150,000 per adult; most temples and government-run sites charge Rp25,000-Rp100,000 for foreign visitors and Rp15,000-Rp50,000 for Indonesians. Foreign tourists must also pay the Bali provincial tourist levy of Rp150,000 once per trip via Love Bali, and that levy is separate from every site ticket.
The tables below are grouped by regency. Figures come from regional bylaws, operator announcements, official websites and 2025-2026 news reports, cross-checked against our own guide to each site. Where sources disagree we show both. Where we found no 2025-2026 evidence, the price columns say "no recent official data" and the notes give the last published figure with its year. Child rates usually cover ages of roughly 3-12, but the cut-off differs by site. As a rough guide, Rp100,000 is about US$6.

How to pay: cash is still the safe bet
- Most village-run counters and waterfalls take cash only. Jatiluwih, for example, rarely accepts cards. Carry Rp10,000-Rp50,000 notes.
- The Nusa Penida area fee has been collected cashless since September 2026, paid into the regency treasury through Bank BPD Bali.
- The Rp150,000 levy is paid on Love Bali by credit card, bank transfer, virtual account or QRIS. For QRIS as a foreigner, see can foreign tourists pay with QRIS.
- Monkey Forest Ubud and GWK sell tickets online through their official sites or ticket partners, handy in peak season queues.
Free sites, or parking only
Many public beaches in Bali charge no ticket, only parking of Rp2,000-Rp10,000. Details are in do Bali beaches charge entry and 15 free places to visit in Bali. At Tirta Empul, Hindu worshippers who come to pray pay nothing under Gianyar bylaw 5/2021. Some smaller temples, such as Rambut Siwi in Jembrana, ask for a voluntary donation rather than a ticket.
Ways to spend less
- Bali ID (KTP) holders get local rates at Ulun Danu Beratan (Rp30,000), Tirta Gangga (Rp35,000) and the Kintamani area (Rp10,000).
- Bali Botanic Garden is cheaper on weekdays (Rp15,500) than on holidays (Rp25,500).
- At GWK, children under 100 cm enter free, and you can skip the Rp40,000 one-way buggy if you are happy to walk.
- On Nusa Penida, count your stops before you go: a classic west tour can mean the area fee plus four site fees. A worked example is in Nusa Penida entry fee 2026.
- Pair sites in the same area on one day, such as Tanah Lot and Taman Ayun, so you are not paying parking and fuel twice.
- Before a temple visit, check the Bali ceremony calendar: Lempuyang and other temples can close to tourists during festivals. Dress code and etiquette are in Bali rules for visitors.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Rp150,000 levy cover attraction tickets? No. It goes to the Bali provincial government and is paid once per trip. Tickets for Tanah Lot, Uluwatu or Monkey Forest are still paid at each gate.
Why might the gate price differ from this table? Rates are set by regencies, customary villages or private operators and can change with a new bylaw or management decision. Ulun Danu Beratan went up in July 2026, while Tanah Lot postponed its April 2026 increase. Trust the official price board at the counter and ask for a ticket.
Do KITAS holders pay the foreign rate? It depends on the site. Some give a local or KITAS rate, others charge one price for everyone. Bring ID and ask at the counter.
