Bar RASA Seminyak: Ayurvedic Cocktails, Prices and When to Go

Two cocktails and a snack at Bar RASA come to roughly IDR 510-670k per person after 21% tax and service, based on the menu posted on Chope (December 2025 version, checked October 2026). The small bar sits inside Villa Air Bali Boutique Resort & Spa on Jl. Lebak Sari, Petitenget, and opens Wednesday to Sunday, 6pm to 1am. It is closed Monday and Tuesday.

The idea

The menu is split by the six tastes of Ayurveda: Madhura (sweet), Amla (sour), Lavana (salty), Tikta (bitter), Katu (pungent) and Kashaya (astringent). You pick a category first, then a drink. Almost every recipe uses Balinese ingredients such as brem rice wine, arak, black sticky rice, galangal and magnolia flower. NOW! Bali wrote it up in late September 2026; the bar's own website has been live since October 2025.

What to order

Sandi Kala (IDR 210k): gin, brem, aperitif wine, mangosteen, lychee, cacao, coconut. Listed under sweet, an easy start if you like fruit.
Bubuh Injin (IDR 175k): arak, brem, black sticky rice, guava, coconut, oolong tea foam. Named after Bali's black rice porridge.
Sambal (IDR 190k): vodka, house-made sambal, galangal, carrot, tomato, mango. For the curious who want heat in a glass.
Sekar Sari (IDR 210k): peated whisky, gin, jasmine green tea, cucumber, tonic, magnolia flower.
Alcohol-free: three mocktails at IDR 110k each. Local Kura Kura and Black Sand beers are IDR 110-130k.
Snacks: sambal matah tuna tartare IDR 75k, chicken satay two ways IDR 90k, Balinese pork sausage IDR 130k, banana fritters with ice cream IDR 75k.

When to go, and the downsides

Arrive right at opening, around 6-7.30pm, if you want a seat at the bar and time to ask the bartender about the taste categories. The room is small and has no view, so this is not a sunset stop; Seminyak has rooftops such as Soluna Bar for that. Prices match Seminyak's top cocktail bars, and it is shut two nights a week. Some drinks are strong, too: Gunung Agung (IDR 175k) mixes arak and mezcal in one glass, so do not order three in a row if you are riding a scooter home down the narrow Lebak Sari lane.
