Soluna Bar Seminyak: 7 Things to Know Before You Go

Soluna Bar opens daily from 6pm to 2am on the rooftop of the Grand Seminyak hotel in the Double Six area, with drinks starting at IDR 180,000 (about USD 11). The speakeasy, owned by Indonesian actor Maxime Bouttier, held its grand opening on 22 August 2026. There is no cover charge and no minimum spend, but a few details trip up first-time visitors.

1. The door is meant to be easy to miss

Soluna sits on the hotel roof next to Moonlite, the rooftop restaurant. Local media describe the entrance as a "secret door". If you reach Moonlite and cannot see it, ask hotel staff rather than wandering the stairwells.

2. The sunset window is short

The bar opens at 6pm, and in late September and October the sun sets over Seminyak at roughly 6.10-6.20pm. Arrive at 6.30pm and the colour is gone. Be there when the doors open if sunset photos are the point.

3. No proper food yet

At opening, Soluna served signature cocktails only, with no main-course menu. Eat dinner first, or order at Moonlite before heading in.

4. It holds only about 80 people

The main room takes around 80 guests, plus a VIP room for 11-12 with a TV and karaoke. For groups, or on Friday and Saturday nights, book ahead.

5. The opening promo has ended

The 15% discount widely shared in the press ran for one month from 22 August 2026, so it has most likely finished. The "from IDR 180,000" price may not include hotel tax and service; ask when you order.

6. Age and what to wear

7. The ride home is slow

Who it is not for

If you want a dance floor or a loud DJ, Soluna is too quiet. Drinks also cost more than at Seminyak's street bars. For a wider, cheaper sunset spot in the same area, try Double-Six Rooftop.
