Etta The Place in Berawa has been opening in stages since October 2026: the Chez Kiki rooftop pool bar and the Palace Disco dance room are running alongside the Win Win restaurant and the Legacy coffee window, while the 15 hotel rooms follow later in the year. Palace Disco opens from 8pm until late, but drink prices, minimum spend, dress code and age rules had not been published as of 22 October 2026, so ask on Instagram before you go.
This summary draws on NOW! Bali's October openings update (revised 22 October 2026), Tatler Asia (15 September 2026), Spirited Asia (20 October 2026) and the official site etta.place, all checked on 22 October 2026. It is desk research, not a visit report.
What people get wrong before going to Etta
- It is a compound, not one bar. One building holds Win Win (a 90s New York-style restaurant, opens 5pm, closed Mondays), Legacy Fine Roasters & Creamery (7am-6pm daily), Chez Kiki on the roof and Palace Disco. Blondies, a 15-seat tasting counter, has not opened yet.
- Chez Kiki is a rooftop pool bar. NOW! Bali lists agave slushies, magnums of rosé and boozy Jell-O shots; Spirited Asia adds tostadas and spritzes. No source we found gives rooftop opening hours.
- Palace Disco plays vinyl and cassettes. Founder Gibran Baydoun previously ran Corduroy Palace in Singapore, and Spirited Asia says Palace Disco carries on that music-bar spirit. If you want big-name guest DJs and a Berawa club sound system, this will probably feel more low-key.
- Opening dates differ. Tatler Asia (15 September) said Etta "opens this month", NOW! Bali lists it among October 2026 openings and Spirited Asia calls it a soft opening. Treat it as early days: hours and menus may change week to week.
- Prices are not out yet. The official site only shows the address, a contact form and a Win Win booking button. There is no figure to quote, so budget as you would for a new Berawa bar and ask for the menu before ordering a bottle.
- Only Win Win has clear bookings. Win Win uses SevenRooms via the button on etta.place. Chez Kiki and Palace Disco have no official booking system yet; send a DM to @ettatheplace.
- Bring a passport or ID. Etta has not stated an age limit. Indonesia's general drinking and club-entry rules are covered in our guide to the drinking age in Bali.
The downsides
Practical information about Etta is still scattered across Instagram and a few media outlets; the official site does not yet list rooftop hours, a drinks menu or door policy. Win Win is closed on Mondays, the rooms and Blondies are not open, and there are too few Google reviews to judge queues or service. If you only have one night in Berawa and want price certainty, an established venue is the safer choice.
One safety note for Chez Kiki
The rooftop wraps around a swimming pool, and slushies and Jell-O shots go down easily. Skip the swim after drinking, and book a ride-hailing car or scooter with a clear pickup point when you leave, because Etta sits on a quiet side road rather than on Jl. Pantai Berawa.
