Juna Ubud: Thai-Indian Menu at the End of Jalan Arjuna, and Prices

Dinner at Juna, the bamboo restaurant at the end of Jl. Arjuna in Ubud, costs around IDR 450-750k per person (about US$28-46) for a starter, a main and a cocktail after tax and service, based on official menus updated on 29 September 2026. It opens daily from 11am to 10pm and can only be reached on foot, about five minutes from Ubud's main road.

What the kitchen cooks

NOW! Bali (13 November 2025) reported that Juna was founded by Suraj Melwani (Bisma Eight), chef Rishi Arora (Part Thai, Singapore) and Christian Tseng (KAWI Ubud). The food blends Thai and Indian: burrata chaat IDR 155k, tom yum crudo with hamachi IDR 170k, duck khao soi IDR 315k, isaan chicken IDR 320k and halloumi makhni IDR 210k. The bamboo building was designed by Pablo Luna Studio and looks over rice fields and a small valley. Honeycombers included it in its October 2026 list of new Ubud restaurants.

Lunch is cheaper

The All Day menu (11am-4pm) is easier on the wallet: nasi bakar with salmon or tempeh IDR 155k, a lunch version of isaan chicken IDR 175k, plant power bowl IDR 140k, guava somtum IDR 95k. The dinner menu runs 4pm-10pm. Cocktails such as Nimbu Pani and Cha Yen Ramos Fizz cost IDR 140k, wine by the glass IDR 160-165k, espresso IDR 35k.

The downsides

It is tucked away and cars cannot drop you at the door; Honeycombers advises walking or cycling in. All prices exclude 10% tax and 7% service, and the menu says dishes are designed for sharing, so the bill climbs fast if everyone orders separately. Hours have also changed: NOW! Bali listed 3pm-10pm, the official site now says 11am-10pm. It is close to Ubud Palace; for comparison with other recent openings, there is KAJA by Numa in Pengosekan and YUKI Ubud.
