YUKI Ubud: A 252-Seat Japanese Restaurant Next to Ubud Palace, Opening Soon in 2026

If one restaurant opening has Ubud talking this month, it’s YUKI Ubud. The modern Japanese brand born in Canggu in 2021, later expanding to Uluwatu, officially unveiled its third venue in late August 2026 — and its largest: 252 seats across a split-level building at Jalan Raya Ubud No. 14, right next to Ubud Palace.

Status as of 22 September 2026: YUKI’s official website still lists the Ubud branch as “open soon”. Confirm the opening date via the official WhatsApp or Instagram before you go.

Why Everyone’s Talking About It

• A Balinese team: founded by Rai Sutama, Dewa Wahyu Bintara and Windu Tenaya; the kitchen is led by Executive Chef Kadek Budiantara (with YUKI since the 2021 Canggu launch) under Culinary Director Yudha Permana.
• Machiya-inspired design: created with studio KŌSAME — you enter through a red portal into a main dining room beneath a skylight with a living tree, an interactive omakase counter, a mezzanine and a vinyl bar lounge.
• Iconic location: a short walk from Ubud Market and the palace, ideal for dinner after an evening dance performance.

• Line-caught local fish sashimi and tuna tartare with truffle mayo and nori cracker.
