Black Sand Brewery Canggu: Happy Hour Schedule, Pint Prices, Parking

Black Sand Brewery is open daily 12:00-24:00 on Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong in Canggu, and a pint of its own beer costs about IDR 75-95k. That drops to IDR 50k if you turn up at the right hour. The brewery has been running since early 2019; the schedule below comes from its official website, checked on 25 September 2026.

What people miss before they go

• The deal changes every day. Friday 15:00-18:00: IDR 50k pints and wine plus a guest DJ. Saturday 17:00-19:00: 2-for-1 cocktails. Sunday 15:00-17:00: IDR 50k pints, then Texas-style BBQ from 17:00. Tuesday: 2-for-1 pizza 17:00-22:30, dine-in only. Wednesday is Jukebox Wednesday: you pick the vinyl, 2-for-1 pints and cocktails 17:00-19:00, and a bucket of wings for IDR 100k. Thursday: IDR 60k pasta and 50% off selected wines. Monday has no promo on the official schedule.
• Order their own beer. The taps include a 6.3% IPA that won silver at the Asia Beer Championship, a Rice Lager brewed with Jatiluwih rice, a Kolsch, a Cherry Sour and Island Brewing beers. Unsure? Ask for a tasting paddle first. The Big Hazy is 8%, so do not drink it like a lager.
• Big gigs are ticketed. Normal nights are free entry, but overseas bands are sold separately. Next up: The Jesus and Mary Chain on 26 November 2026, their first show in Indonesia, tickets via Goers. The brewery has previously hosted The Vaccines and Skegss.
• There is a studio inside. Black Sand Studio runs live recording sessions called Listen First, capped at around 20 people. Dates go up on the website and Instagram, so do not expect to walk in.
• Day and night feel different. Daytime suits families and remote workers. Friday and Saturday nights get packed and loud. No dress code, flip-flops are fine, but alcohol in Indonesia is for 21+ only, so bring ID.
• Car parking is tight. The front lot fills fast and gets chaotic at weekends. Come by Grab or Gojek. Jl. Batu Bolong is narrow and busy until late, so after a few pints of IPA or Big Hazy, leave the scooter and book a car.

The downsides

Outside promo hours, IDR 75-95k a pint feels steep next to a Bintang at the warung down the road. Friday and Saturday nights are hard without a booking, and the music is loud enough to make easy conversation difficult. The Tuesday pizza deal does not apply to takeaway. If you want a rawer rock-band night, Gimme Shelter in Munggu fits better.
