Motel Mexicola Uluwatu, the group's third and largest Bali venue, opened on 22 July 2026 at Jl. Pantai Bingin No. 08, with a grand opening party on 31 July. It covers about 2,500 m², seats around 350, and has a 21-metre bell tower holding two bars, plus a stage and DJ booth. If you know Motel Mexicola Seminyak, don't expect a copy. Seminyak and Canggu lean into classic, heavily decorated Mexico; Uluwatu takes its cue from coastal Baja California, with more seafood and more open-fire (asador) cooking. Seven things people tend to miss, checked October 2026:
1. Menu prices exclude tax, and the tax rises after 10.30pm
The official menu lists prices in thousands of rupiah, plus 10% tax and 7% service. From 10.30pm the tax becomes 15% (service stays 7%). Examples: Baja taco (beer-battered mahi-mahi) IDR 60k, Camarón taco IDR 65k, classic margarita IDR 150k or IDR 700k a jug. Two tacos and a margarita come to IDR 275k before tax, roughly IDR 322k after, and about IDR 336k if ordered after 10.30pm.
2. The asador dishes are for sharing
The El Asador section holds the big grilled plates: Pescado Los Cabos (whole snapper) IDR 390k, Carne Asada IDR 550k, Tijuana Lobsters IDR 620k. They make more sense ordered for the table with a few tacos on the side. Bintang is IDR 60k, Corona IDR 100k. Dishes marked © are Mexicola classics also served in Seminyak and Canggu; the Uluwatu-only plates sit under Los Frescos and El Asador.
3. When to arrive
According to Bali Buddies (September 2026), golden hour runs 5-7pm with discounted margaritas, and the dance floor is already busy by about 9pm. Want to eat and talk? Come for lunch or before 7pm.
4. Closing time and bookings
The official site says it opens daily from 11am. Closing times differ by source: Concrete Playground says 10pm, Bali Buddies says midnight. Check Instagram before heading out late. Book through the "Book a Table" form at motelmexicola.info or WhatsApp +62 819-5062-026. Opening coverage recommends booking ahead for groups, weekends and celebrations.
5. Dress code and age
No dress code is published on the official site, and Honeycombers actually suggests dressing up. Wet swimwear straight off the beach is clearly out for dinner here. No age policy is published either; if you plan to drink, bring ID or your passport (general rules are in our article on the legal drinking age in Bali).
6. Getting to Bingin and parking
Concrete Playground places the venue opposite Alchemy on Jl. Pantai Bingin. Neither the official site nor the opening coverage mentions car parking capacity. The road toward Bingin Beach is narrow and crowded with scooters around sunset, so groups are better off with a driver or ride-hailing car. Bukit roads are dark and winding at night; after a jug of margaritas, don't ride a scooter yourself.
7. Who may be disappointed
Anyone after a quiet clifftop dinner. Standing capacity is quoted at up to 1,500 people and the music gets louder after 9pm. An IDR 150k margarita plus tax is also well above what the small bars around Bingin charge.
