AMIKAN by SIKI Nusa Dua: Menu, Prices and Opening Hours

AMIKAN by SIKI is a Japanese beachfront café inside The Bay Bali complex in the ITDC area of Nusa Dua, open every day from 10am to 7pm. The menu centres on sandos (Japanese sandwiches), Japanese set meals, and taro and matcha drinks, and Google reviewers report spending roughly Rp125,000-225,000 (about US$8-14) per person on a meal. The sun loungers on the sand can be used with no minimum spend.

The café belongs to the team behind Japanese restaurant SIKI and sits right beside SIKI's Japanese garden. Bali food media have covered it since August 2026, and the owners market it as the island's first modern Japanese beachfront café. As of 21 October 2026 it is still open with the same hours, and its Google Maps listing shows a 4.4 rating from 163 reviews. If you already know SIKI for dinner, AMIKAN is its relaxed daytime sibling.

The name blends two words. Amik-amikan is Balinese for small handmade snacks, and mikan is the Japanese mandarin orange, a symbol of warmth.

This list is compiled from the menu released to the press (What's New Indonesia, Exquisite Taste, Bali Buddies) and the official Google Maps description, checked 21 October 2026. Per-item prices had not been published on any website, on Google Maps or in the press by that date, so we are not printing numbers nobody can verify.

• Savoury and fruit sandos: Beef Menchi Katsu Sando, Tori Katsu Sando, Seafood Katsu Sando, Egg Sando, Fruit Sando. The Seafood Katsu Sando comes with a seafood patty, cabbage slaw and house-made oshinko tartare.
• Sweet sandos (fried bread): Age Sando: Chocolate Mousse, Brûlée & Chantilly, Taro Chantilly.
• A fuller meal: the wachoushoku set (choice of protein, rice, seasonal salad, miso soup, tsukemono pickles), donburi bowls, plus udon and soba.
• Coffee, taro, matcha: Taro Latte, Coconut Taro Cloud, Taro Berry Spritz, Matcha Latte, Coconut Matcha Cloud, Sea Salt Caramel Latte, plus the usual espresso drinks.
• Cocktails (later in the day): AMIKAN Passion, Sunset Spritz, plus wine and beer.
• Cakes: Miso Brûlée Tart, Chocolate Sacher Cake.
• What it costs: three Google reviewers who filled in the spend field logged Rp25-50k, Rp125-150k and Rp200-225k per person (checked 21 October 2026). The lowest band fits a single drink.
• Tax and service: the rate is not published, but one reviewer called the bill expensive "especially with tax", which tells you tax is added on top of menu prices. Check the note at the bottom of the menu before ordering.

What visitors mention most

Across public Google Maps reviews (read 21 October 2026), the recurring praise is the sea view, a calm setting that is rarely crowded, friendly staff, and the drinks, especially the taro and coconut combination. Several reviewers also confirm the daybeds come with no minimum spend.

The complaints are just as consistent. Prices feel high for a café, the 7pm closing strikes people as early (one reviewer felt staff were waiting for guests to leave right on the hour), and one review asks management to fix the service flow and staff training. Nusa Dua's beach faces east, so despite a cocktail called Sunset Spritz, the sun does not set over the sea in front of you. If you want a full Japanese lunch with sushi, SIKI next door is the better choice.

Do you need a reservation?

As of 21 October 2026 AMIKAN lists no online booking system; SIKI uses TableCheck for dinner, but there is no equivalent link for AMIKAN. For two to four people, walking in is usually fine, and the beach loungers are first come, first served. For a group or an event, message the official Instagram first.
