Saloon 66 Seminyak: Whisky Bar Replacing Sling Bar at Double-Six

Saloon 66 sits on the mezzanine above The Plantation Grill, on the fourth floor of Double-Six Luxury Hotel, Jl. Double Six No. 66, Seminyak. It took over the room once known as Sling Bar and made Bali Food and Travel's list of new Bali openings for August 2026. The focus is whisky, rare spirits and classic cocktails in a low-lit room, well away from the thump of the beach clubs along the sand.

What the room feels like

The theme is 1920s Prohibition, matching the steakhouse downstairs. Bali Buddies (August 2026) describes curved leather booths, art deco details down to the bathroom mirrors, and waiters in bow ties. This is a bar for talking over a glass, not for dancing.

A sensible order for the night: sunset on the hotel's own rooftop (see our Double-Six Rooftop prices and hours), steak at The Plantation Grill, then up the stairs to Saloon 66 for a last drink.

How much are the drinks?

As checked in September 2026, Saloon 66 has not published its own price list, either on the hotel website or in the press that covered the opening. The closest benchmark is the 2026 Plantation Grill drinks list from the same hotel:

• Classic and signature cocktails: IDR 140,000-180,000. Barrel Aged Negroni and Original Whisky Sour are IDR 170,000 each.
• Scotch per 30 ml: Johnnie Walker Black Label IDR 90,000, Macallan 12 Double Cask IDR 280,000, Singleton 18 IDR 300,000.
• Beer: Bintang IDR 60,000, Kura-kura Island Ale IDR 80,000.
• Prices exclude 11% tax and 10% service, so add roughly 22%.

For the rare spirits Saloon 66 is built around, ask for the bottle list before you order. A single pour can cost far more than this benchmark.

The drawbacks

Official information is still thin. Saloon 66's opening hours are not published; The Plantation Grill below is open daily 6pm-11pm, so come within that window and ask the staff when the bar closes. The quiet mood also makes it a poor fit for groups who want to party until dawn.
