Tasta Zoo Tabanan: Tickets, Hours, Is It Good for Kids?

Tasta Zoo tickets cost Rp80,000 per person for Indonesian visitors and Rp200,000 for foreign visitors, according to IDN Times (November 2025) and Tribun Travel (2026). The zoo opens daily 09:00-17:00, last entry 16:30. Below are short answers to the questions people most often search before going.

Where is it?

In Banjar Tegeh, Angseri village, Baturiti district, Tabanan. Its official name is Taman Satwa Tabanan. It is about 54 km from Ngurah Rai Airport, roughly 1.5 hours from Denpasar and up to 2 hours from the airport in heavy traffic. Tribun Travel calls it the first zoo in Baturiti.

Do children pay full price?

2026 information says the Rp80,000 price applies to children over 5. Older listings showed Rp50,000 for ages 5-12, so ask at the counter. Online platforms sometimes sell tickets at different prices (for example weekend tickets for foreigners), so compare before buying.

Is it safe for kids?

Facilities are family-friendly: large car park, toilets, a restaurant, a souvenir shop and a children's play area. There is a bird show and animal feeding sessions, including elephants (Traveloka lists an add-on of about Rp25,000 for a small portion and Rp50,000 for a large one). Stay next to your children during feeding and keep hands out of enclosures. Animals include elephants, bears, orangutans, crocodiles, porcupines and many birds.

What are the downsides?

• The foreign-visitor price is 2.5 times the domestic price.
• It sits in the Baturiti highlands, so it is cool and rain often falls from midday into the afternoon. Bring a light jacket and an umbrella.
