Hedonist Uluwatu: Art-Themed Cocktails, Shisha, Open Until 2am

A cocktail at Hedonist in Ungasan costs IDR 150,000-200,000 plus 10% tax and 7% service, according to the "Cocktail Art" menu uploaded to Chope in April 2026. Each drink is named after a painter: Matisse (gin, pineapple, Irish cream, coconut, blue curaçao) is the cheapest at IDR 150,000, Magritte (cinnamon whisky, lemon, vanilla, apple juice) the priciest at IDR 200,000, and the rest, such as Banksy, Warhol, Klimt and Kandinsky, are IDR 180,000.

What kind of place it is

Hedonist Space opened in 2022 on Jl. Raya Uluwatu in Ungasan and combines a restaurant, bar, shisha lounge and 24-hour workspace under one roof. At night it runs on candlelight and low lamps with curated music. The official site mentions weekly events without a schedule, so check Instagram before you go. A 7-metre steel head sculpture in the grounds is the venue's landmark. Shisha uses Darkside, Musthave and Starline tobacco.

About the menu and prices

The drink names on the official site (for example a Jackfruit Bellini for Klimt and a Smoked Negroni for Banksy) differ from the April 2026 PDF menu, so the recipes seem to rotate; the menu handed to you at the table is what counts. For food there is a fixed-price lunch at IDR 90,000, while Chope puts dinner with drinks at IDR 250,000-400,000 per person.

The downsides

In Chope reviews from February 2026, one guest was unhappy that cards could not be used that day and another rated the food below expectations. Carry some backup cash. Shisha smoke is noticeable in the lounge, which is a poor fit if you are with children or dislike smoke. The website has a 21+ age gate (see drinking age rules in Bali).

Jl. Raya Uluwatu outside Hedonist is a main road busy with trucks and poorly lit in stretches, so after two cocktails take a taxi home rather than a rented scooter. If you want to move on to a louder bar with DJs, White Rabbit is also in Ungasan.
