The cheapest room at Darmada Eco Resort in Sidemen is the Deluxe Double at IDR 1,450,000 a night (about US$88) in low season, according to the rate table on its official site (checked October 2026). This family-run resort is managed by a Balinese-Dutch couple, Wayan and Barbara, on roughly 3 hectares beside the Unda River.

Low-season rates apply 11 January-30 June and 1 September-19 December:

Compare the room type and whether breakfast is included before you jump at that figure.
What to know before you pay
- A 50% deposit is required to secure a direct booking, due no later than 21 days before arrival. Card payments carry a 2% surcharge.
- Breakfast: guest reviews on TripAdvisor say breakfast is included and generous. The official site only states it explicitly for extra beds (IDR 200,000 including breakfast), so ask for written confirmation.
- Check-in 2pm-9pm, check-out noon. Tell them in advance if you will arrive after 9pm. Late check-out costs 50% of the room rate.
- The Deluxe Double cannot take an extra bed. Baby cots are free. Linen is changed every three days.
- Packages are available, for example 3 nights with breakfast, a picnic and a massage for two at IDR 8,720,000 per couple.
Drawbacks that rarely get mentioned
It sits on Jl. Raya Luah, Banjar Tabola, roughly a 2-hour drive from the airport in normal traffic. There is no beach, and dinner options in Sidemen are limited, so you will likely rely on the resort's restaurant, Warung Melita (also open to outside guests). Rooms near a river mean humidity and insects; beds come with mosquito nets. Guest reviews also describe the stairs to the mezzanine in family rooms as steep and narrow, worth noting if you travel with toddlers.
If your priority is an infinity pool facing rice terraces and Mount Agung, Wapa di Ume Sidemen is the better fit. Darmada wins on quiet riverside atmosphere and walking-based activities such as rice-field treks or a trip to Gembleng Waterfall.
Longer packages exist too. The 5-night Riverside Romance with a romantic riverside dinner costs IDR 19,850,000 per couple, while the 7-night package at IDR 21,900,000 includes a trip to Gembleng Waterfall, a rice-field trek and a river-stone dot painting class. According to the official site, the best rate applies if you pay at least 30 days before arrival, and all packages depend on room availability. Outside the packages the resort also offers private yoga and palm-reading sessions.
