Bbasam Kerobokan: Butter-Aged Samgyeopsal Prices and Hours

Dinner for two at Bbasam, the Korean BBQ restaurant at Jl. Raya Kerobokan No. 10A, runs about IDR 750k-800k before tax and service if you order the Bbasam Set (IDR 449k++) plus a stew and beers. Bbasam officially opened on 16 October 2026 after a soft opening on 2 October, and this is its first branch outside Korea.

The opening date comes from What's New Indonesia (26 October 2026); prices come from the October 2026 PDF menu and hours from the Bbasam page on the website of operator Kawano Group, both checked on 31 October 2026. The Seoul restaurant is known for butter-aged samgyeopsal: pork belly dry-aged for 72 hours, then coated in butter and aged another 72 hours.

How much does a meal at Bbasam cost?

• Bbasam Set (2-3 people): IDR 449k, with butter-aged belly, jowl/neck and tenderloin plus refillable grilled vegetables.
• Single cuts: butter-aged Beoteo Sukseong Samgyeopsal 180 g IDR 239k, dry-aged belly 160 g IDR 199k, sliced belly sampler 200 g IDR 219k, tenderloin 160 g IDR 195k, pork jowl 160 g IDR 179k.
• Stews: sundubu kimchi jjigae (for sharing) IDR 149k, doenjang jjigae with butter IDR 79k.
• Rice and sides: steamed rice IDR 20k, green bean kimchi fried rice IDR 55k, cheese volcano steamed egg IDR 75k, yakisoba IDR 79k.
• Drinks: Bali Hai 620 ml IDR 59k, Singaraja 620 ml IDR 49k, soft drinks and tea IDR 20k-25k.

Every price carries ++. The menu only says "subject to service charge and government tax" without percentages, so budget roughly 15-21% extra until you see the bill. Banchan arrives when you sit down.

Do you need a reservation?

It seats 66 across two floors, with window seats upstairs. For weekend dinners, book through the Book or WhatsApp button on the Bbasam page of the Kawano website. Weekday lunch is usually fine as a walk-in, but the restaurant has only been open two weeks, so queue patterns are not settled yet.

When is it busiest?

There is not enough busy-hours data yet for a restaurant this new, so we will not invent numbers. What the official schedule does tell you: Monday to Friday the kitchen closes between 3pm and 5pm, and last dinner orders are at 10pm. Arriving right at 5pm on a weekday is the safest way to beat full tables. Jl. Raya Kerobokan is a congested road between Seminyak and Canggu, so allow extra travel time.

Who should skip it

Almost every meat on the menu is pork, so Bbasam does not work for anyone who avoids pork or needs halal food. Staff grill at the table, which may feel restrictive if you like doing it yourself as at most Korean BBQ places. The alcohol list is short too: the October menu shows two local beers and no soju. For a longer night, South+East Brewing is in the same area, and for a Balinese take on pork try Warung Babi Guling Pak Malen.

Is this the same Bbasam as in Seoul?

Yes. What's New Indonesia describes the Kerobokan branch as Bbasam's first international location, with owner-chef Gyeo-wool Kim, operated by Kawano Group.

Are there non-pork options?

A few: steamed egg, yakisoba, butter soy egg rice and doenjang stew. The menu does not explain the stocks, so ask first if you avoid pork completely.
