The Blue Door Ubud: Club Lounge, Cocktail Prices, What You'll Spend

Entry to The Blue Door's Club Lounge on Jl. Monkey Forest, Ubud, is free almost every night from 9pm. Friday and Saturday carry a Rp100,000 (about US$6) first drink charge (FDC), and signature cocktails on the 2026 club menu cost Rp145,000-180,000 before 10% tax and 7% service (checked October 2026).

What to order

The front is a Beer Garden with live bands from 7.30pm and sports on screen. Behind the blue door is the Club Lounge with DJs. The club menu (PDF, May 2026) lists Golden Hour (vanilla vodka with clarified passion fruit and mango) at Rp155,000 and No Notes (smoked bourbon, amaro, banana) at Rp180,000. Heineken or San Miguel is Rp85,000, Corona Rp105,000, shots Rp75,000, a Jägerbomb Rp135,000, wine by the glass from Rp125,000 and spirit bottles from about Rp1.8 million. According to Bali Buddies, the kitchen serves until around 1am.

What you'll spend

A rough sum for two on a Saturday night: FDC 2 x Rp100,000 (usually including the first drink, ask at the door), then one more cocktail each at Rp155,000 plus 17%, about Rp363,000. That is roughly Rp560,000 in total. Official deals bring it down: Late Night Happy Hour Wednesday to Monday gives two signature cocktails for Rp200,000++, Thursday Ladies Night means free entry and two cocktails for Rp180,000 for women, and Beer Garden happy hour runs 11am-7pm on weekdays and 10am-7pm at weekends.

When to go

The DJ schedule is fixed by night: Monday La Vibra (Latin house), Tuesday Time Machine (80s to 2000s), Wednesday House Mix, Thursday Ladies Night (disco pop), Friday Afro Nights, Saturday Enigma Project (house and tech house), Sunday Hip Hop Remix. For Halloween, Saturday 31 October 2026 from 7pm brings a haunted maze with live actors, a band and DJs. Early bird tickets are Rp200,000 and general admission Rp275,000, including one alcoholic drink and Club Lounge access.

Verdict

The Blue Door works if you want to watch a game, eat and then dance without changing venues, a combination Ubud rarely offers. The downsides: once the 17% is added, cocktails cost as much as in a Seminyak bar, and the loud club music makes quiet conversation hard. For a dinner with a different mood, ORYn next door has the same owner and focuses on fire and smoke cooking. Parking on Monkey Forest is tight, so arrive and leave by ride-hailing bike or car and do not ride a scooter after drinking.
