Menjangan Dynasty Resort has 40 canvas tents and villas on 16 hectares beside Banyuwedang Bay in Pejarakan village, Gerokgak. Its official site puts it about 150 km, or a four-hour drive, from Ngurah Rai Airport. For a 16-17 October 2026 stay, KAYAK showed rates of C$118-418 per night for two, roughly Rp1.4-5 million depending on the exchange rate (checked 9 October 2026).
Which tent should you choose?
- Beach Camp Tent (13 units) and Beach Camp Tent Deluxe (9 units): 44 m² including a deck with a daybed. The most affordable option.
- Jungle Tent (5 units): 65.3 m² with a small living area on the ground floor.
- Cliff Tent Pool Villa (5 units), One Bedroom Cliff Tent Villa (4 units) and Two Bedroom Cliff Tent Villa (2 units): 67-82 m² with a 23 m² private infinity pool.
- Two Bedroom Beachfront Suite (2 units): 374.8 m², 35.7 m² private pool, next to Kanvas Bar & Restaurant.
The tents are double-skinned South African canvas, air-conditioned, with in-tent bathrooms, Wi-Fi, a minibar and a safe. The outer skin rolls up so the mesh layer works as a window.
What you can do there
The resort runs Pasir Putih Dive Centre & Watersport, the all-day Pasir Putih Beach Club and Pasir Putih Spa. The official site also lists trekking, mountain biking, kayaking, bird-watching and horse-riding. The dive sites of Menjangan Island lie across the bay, and the Banyuwedang hot springs are in the same village. KAYAK's review summary gives a combined 9.2 from 787 reviews, with staff and the private beach praised most often.
Downsides you should know
- It is far from everything. Four hours from the airport, with almost no other restaurants nearby, so in practice you eat at the resort every day.
- One complaint recorded on KAYAK: dive centre prices felt high for the service. Compare with dive operators in Pemuteran before paying for a package.
- Canvas walls do not block sound the way brick does. If you are a light sleeper, the walled villas at Mimpi Resort Menjangan on the same bay may be quieter.
Rates, Day Pass and seasons
If you only want a taste, the resort sells a Day Pass at Rp450,000 per person (announced 12 November 2025) covering the infinity pool, the white-sand beach and a food and drink credit. According to KAYAK data, April is the cheapest month (average C$111 a night) and August the most expensive (average C$456). Check-in from 14:00, check-out by 11:00. If you are pairing Menjangan with a few nights in south Bali, an AccessiaPass hotel voucher can cover the rest of the trip.

Keep your first late afternoon free for the deck. From this bay you can watch the East Java volcanoes as the sun goes down.
