Mahana Point sits on the southwestern tip of Nusa Ceningan, directly above a left-hand reef break that surfers love. The concept is simple: an open-air warung and bar on the rock ledge, plus two cliff-jump platforms that test your nerve. Blue Lagoon and the Yellow Bridge are on the same route, but the appeal here is unmistakable — jumping into the ocean from height.
Two Jump Platforms
- Lower platform, roughly 4–5 metres: IDR 25,000 per person per jump.
- Higher platform, roughly 10 metres: IDR 50,000 per person per jump.
- The water under the high platform is only about 3–4 metres deep, so you must stay straight and enter feet first. A steel ladder gets you back up.
- The jump fee still applies even if you have already eaten or had drinks at the warung.
Safety Essentials
- Check the tide. Jump only at high tide; at low tide the reef sits too shallow and the jump becomes dangerous.
- Follow the staff's signal — they call you in after a set of waves passes. If the swell is big or the current strong, the platforms close.
- Not for non-swimmers, small children, or anyone who has been drinking alcohol.
- There is no proper medical facility on Ceningan, so make sure your travel insurance covers extreme sports.
Surf, Warung and Sunset
- Surfboard hire runs about IDR 60,000 for 2 hours on site; the wave suits intermediate surfers and above.
- The warung menu is simple — nasi goreng, noodles, young coconut, cold beer — roughly IDR 35,000–80,000.
- Sunset from the rock ledge is the main event; arrive before 5pm if you want a front table.
