Where is the entrance?
Look for Maluku Restaurant on Monkey Forest Road. According to the official site, you go through an old wooden door and up a small staircase to the second floor. There is no big sign on the street, so ask the Maluku staff if you get lost.
What time does it open?
The official site lists 6pm to midnight every day (checked October 2026). The room is small, and the official FAQ recommends booking for weekends, peak hours and groups.
How much are drinks and what should you order?
Honeycombers lists cocktails from IDR 149,000; assume menu prices exclude tax and service unless stated. The three mentioned most often:
- Kartu Uno: Japanese whisky, green apple, cermai (star gooseberry) and sparkling Moscato.
- Warisan: peppercorn-infused gin, Balinese fruit cordial, yellow pear and local spices.
- Sweet Escape: an espresso martini twist with spiced rum, Kintamani coffee, soybean and taro.
Bar snacks are small, such as taro chips and chocolate truffles, so eat dinner before you go up. No source mentions an entry fee or minimum spend.
Is there a dress code or age limit?
The official FAQ says there is no strict dress code. The legal age to buy alcohol in Indonesia is 21, so bring a passport or ID; details are in our guide to the drinking age in Bali.
Are there regular events?
As of October 2026 the Masterclass and Events pages on the site still say "coming soon". News usually appears on Instagram first.
Who should pick a different bar?
Access is by stairs only, which makes it hard for wheelchair users. At IDR 149,000 and up per glass it also costs more than the music bars along Monkey Forest Road.
