Ulaman Eco Luxury Resort, Tabanan: A Healing Retreat with Riverside Spa, Sauna & Yoga

Ulaman Eco Luxury Resort sits among rivers, waterfalls and rice fields in Buwit village, near Kaba-Kaba in Kediri, Tabanan. Its curved bamboo and rammed-earth buildings were designed by Inspiral Architecture and won a 2021 Prix Versailles award for hotel exterior. Spa, Sauna & Water Therapy

• Riverside Spa: a bamboo dome by the river with single and couples treatment rooms, hot and cold plunge pools, an infrared sauna, a steam room, leaf-shaped hammocks over the river and tubs for flower baths.
• Waterfall Spa: a separate building with a hand-carved stone bathtub facing the waterfall.

• Morning yoga every day at the Cliffside Yoga Shala or Mandala Shala. It is free for in-house guests and Rp150,000 for outside guests.
• Sound healing with singing bowls and gongs costs Rp350,000 per person, and private sessions start at Rp1,250,000.
• Healing Mind, Body & Soul packages run for 3, 5 or 7 nights. The resort also hosts group retreats with access to local healers.
• The resort has its own organic gardens, and E.A.R.T.H. restaurant serves set lunch menus from Rp350,000.

Stay Overnight or Get a Day Pass?

Villa options include Floating Lake, Cocoon Jungle, Avatar Tree House and Grand Lagoon Private Pool. On booking sites, rates generally start at around Rp5 million a night, depending on villa type and season. According to the room pages on the official website, stays include breakfast, daily yoga, sound healing and access to the sauna and plunge pools.

If you’re not staying, get a day pass for Rp1,250,000 per person (plus 21%). It gives you access to the pools, a daybed, lockers, the hot and cold plunge pools, sauna and steam room, plus a glass-bottom canoe and paddle board.
