Rent a Stroller and Car Seat in Bali or Bring Your Own? 2026 Costs

For a 7-10 day holiday, bringing your own folding stroller is almost always cheaper: Jetstar, Qantas, Korean Air and ANA carry strollers and car seats at no extra charge, while hire in Bali costs about AUD5-7.50 a day for a stroller and AUD6.50 a day for a car seat. Hiring only makes sense for bulky items you rarely travel with, such as a wooden cot, or when you book an airport transfer that already includes car seats.

Hire prices in Bali (checked 24 October 2026)

Bali Bubs (Jl. Beji Ayu 11, Seminyak) lists daily rates in Australian dollars on its official site:

  • 4-wheel stroller from AUD5 a day, 3-wheel stroller AUD7.50, twin stroller AUD6.
  • Baby car seat AUD6.50 a day, booster AUD4.
  • Travel cot AUD7, wooden cot AUD9, bassinet AUD5, high chair AUD4.
  • Online bookings get 10% off for hires longer than 7 days and 20% off beyond 14 days. The deposit is capped at AUD250 and refunded after pickup.
  • Gear is delivered to your hotel before 4 pm on arrival day and collected before 5 pm on departure day.

Bali Baby Hire, running since 2008, quotes prices in dollars:

  • Baby Jogger City Mini GT stroller $7 a day, wooden cot $8, high chair $4, with no minimum hire period.
  • Delivery plus pickup: Kuta, Legian, Tuban $5; airport, Seminyak, Jimbaran $10; Sanur, Nusa Dua, Kerobokan, Umalas $15; Canggu, Uluwatu $20; Ubud $25; Candidasa $50.
  • Deposit $50 if the hire total is under $200, $100 for $200-400, and $200 above that.
  • Cancelling less than 48 hours before the hire: no refund of the hire fee, plus a $15 admin fee.

As a currency guide, Bali Bubs itself converts Rp320,000 to about AUD33, so AUD1 is roughly Rp9,700.

Bringing your own: what airlines allow

  • Jetstar: a stroller, travel cot, high chair and car seat, capsule or booster can be checked free on every fare type, on top of your baggage allowance. A car seat you want to use on board must be pre-arranged and fitted to a window seat.
  • Qantas: lap infants get extra infant items free of charge, namely a collapsible stroller, a collapsible cot or bassinet and a car seat. Check Qantas's special baggage page for the exact number.
  • Korean Air: one foldable stroller plus one car seat or bassinet free. On international routes infants also get one bag up to 10 kg.
  • ANA: folding strollers, portable cradles and child seats can be checked free if used by that passenger.

For other airlines, including flights from Russia, check your carrier's special baggage page. The rules are set by the airline, not the airport.

A 10-day example in Seminyak

  • Hiring from Bali Bubs: 4-wheel stroller AUD50 plus car seat AUD65 makes AUD115, minus 10% is AUD103.50 (about Rp1 million), plus a refundable deposit.
  • Stroller only from Bali Baby Hire: $70 plus $10 Seminyak delivery, $80 in total.
  • Bringing your own: zero on the four airlines above. The risk is that a stroller can get scratched or damaged in the hold, and you carry one more item through the airport.

Car seat: daily hire or included in a transfer?

A car seat is only useful in a car. If you only need a car for the airport run, a transfer that brings car seats is cheaper than daily hire. Bali Baby Hire charges $40 per car one way from the airport to Kuta, Legian, Seminyak or Jimbaran, $47.50 to Nusa Dua, Sanur or Uluwatu and $50 to Canggu or Ubud, including two fitted car seats. Bali Bubs fits car seats in its pickup car on request, with airport fares from Rp320,000 to Kuta up to Rp700,000 to Ubud. Do not assume a taxi or ride-hailing car booked on the spot will have one.

Daily car seat hire only pays off if you use a car with a driver almost every day. Typical driver rates are in our car-with-driver price guide.

The verdict

Bring your own folding stroller. For car seats, book an airport transfer that includes them, and bring your own only if you will be driving around almost daily. Hire in Bali for heavy things you rarely fly with: a cot, a high chair, or a 3-wheel stroller if your villa sits on a rough lane. Book at least 2 days before arrival, because Bali Baby Hire confirms within 48 hours and Bali Bubs does not guarantee same-day delivery.

Age limits for infants flying are covered in how old a baby must be to fly to Bali, other transfer options in our Ngurah Rai airport transfer guide, and activity ideas in our family itinerary with kids.
