Bali is Indonesia's largest open-air studio, but shooting a prewedding session here is not simply a matter of turning up and pressing the shutter. Many attractions and temples charge a commercial permit fee on top of the entrance ticket, some iconic spots involve hours of queueing, and the best light lasts only 60–90 minutes. Temple Etiquette & Permits

• A sarong, sash and modest clothing are mandatory; on-site rental is Rp10k–20k. Balinese traditional dress or a modern kebaya suits temple backdrops best.
• Never climb, sit or lean on shrines and temple walls, and avoid intimate poses in sacred areas. Ask the pemangku (temple priest) or management first, because not every temple allows commercial sessions, the inner courtyard is often closed, and women who are menstruating may not enter sacred areas.
• Commercial permits beyond the ticket: Tanah Lot and Pandawa about Rp500k, Ulun Danu Beratan Rp600k–700k, Bali Botanic Garden Bedugul about Rp500k, Penglipuran about Rp250k, Taman Ujung about Rp1 million. Pay at the official counter and ask for a receipt.

Photographer, MUA & Wardrobe Cost Ranges

• Hourly packages start at around Rp1.3 million for one location with the photographer only, no make-up or wardrobe.
• Full-day packages covering photographer, MUA, traditional dress or a gown, a stylist and transport generally run Rp4–10 million depending on the number of locations and outfit changes.
• Extra costs people forget: out-of-town sessions at about +Rp500k, videographer, drone operator, car hire, and the location tickets and permits that are usually not included. Expect a 50% deposit and 2–4 weeks of editing.
