Bali Dinner Cruise & Sailing Guide 2026: Real Operators, Routes, Price Ranges & How to Book

A cruise is the most comfortable way to enjoy Bali's sea without squeezing onto a regular fast boat. The problem is that three very different products are sold under one name: an evening dinner cruise from Benoa Harbour, a full-day day cruise to a floating pontoon off Nusa Lembongan or Nusa Penida, and a private boat charter. Here are the operators we checked are still running in 2025–2026, with harbours, check-in times, price ranges and how to book.

Dinner Cruise vs Day Cruise vs Private Charter

A dinner cruise lasts 2–3 hours: boarding 16.30–17.45, a loop around Benoa Bay, back at the jetty before 21.00. What you buy is the sunset, a buffet and stage entertainment — not an island transfer, so there is no stepping onto a beach. A day cruise is the opposite: departure 07.30–09.00, a 45-minute to 2-hour crossing, then a full day on a pontoon with snorkelling, waterslides, banana boats and a semi-submarine. A private charter books the whole boat for a group or a special occasion and is priced per vessel, not per person.

Roughly Rp500k–1.2 million per person. View on Google Maps. Book at bountycruises.co.id or a local agent.
  • Sea Safari Cruises — Pirate Dinner Cruise (Benoa Harbour) — a pirate-themed phinisi; boarding 16.30, sailing 17.15–19.30, with an international buffet, fire dance and DJ. Bali's most budget-friendly dinner cruise, often below Rp500k on local OTAs plus a port fee of about Rp16k per person. View on Google Maps
  • Wanderlust Cruise (Sanur Harbour) — the Nusa Penida day tour starts at about Rp1.18 million per person on the fast boats Crystal Ocean 71 and Gili Nusa I; check-in 08.00, arrival in Penida 09.30. Private charters start at roughly Rp10.5 million per vessel. View on Google Maps. Book at wanderlustcruise.id.

Harbours, Check-in Times & Price Ranges

  • Benoa Harbour (South Denpasar) is the base for almost every large dinner cruise; Sanur Harbour is the modern terminal for Nusa Penida and Lembongan; Serangan is the alternative when swell is high. Arrive 45–60 minutes before boarding, as check-in and parking clog up towards dusk.
  • Price ranges per person: budget dinner cruise Rp300–700k; premium dinner cruise Rp1.1–1.6 million; pontoon day cruise Rp700k–1.4 million; private charter from tens of millions of rupiah per day.
  • Usually included: hotel transfers along Kuta–Seminyak–Nusa Dua–Sanur, meals and basic pontoon activities. Not included: diving, parasailing, tips and the Rp150k foreign tourist levy (Love Bali).

Safety, Best Season & Seasickness Tips

  • KSOP Class II Benoa regularly inspects fast boats at Sanur and Serangan harbours — 67 fast boats were recorded as checked ahead of one year-end holiday season. Make sure your name is on the passenger manifest and never board a boat that refuses to record identities.
  • Count the life jackets and note where they are as soon as you board, including child sizes. A fast boat capsized in the Sanur–Lembongan waters in 2025, so listen to the safety briefing all the way through.
  • The best season is April–October when the sea is relatively calm. December–February is choppy and operators may cancel, so schedule your cruise early in the trip to leave a backup date.
  • Seasickness tips: eat lightly an hour before sailing, take medication 30–60 minutes before boarding, sit mid-ship close to the waterline, fix your eyes on the horizon and stay off your phone. Bring cash for the port fee, a light jacket and grippy footwear.

Because cruise pickups almost always start at 06.30–07.30 in the morning or finish after 21.00, staying in the Benoa, Nusa Dua or Sanur corridor cuts 30–60 minutes off the round trip. Compare prices and book your stay voucher on AccessiaPass, then leave your cruise pickup request with reception at check-in.
