Pak Gula is at Jl. Pantai Bingin No. 5, Bingin, Pecatu, opened in 2026 by the team behind The Cashew Tree. It is a two-storey building: downstairs is casual for a quick bite, upstairs is darker, with long tables, plenty of greenery and a cocktail bar. Honeycombers put it on its October 2026 list of new restaurants and advises booking ahead.
What are Pak Gula's opening hours?
Sources disagree. Honeycombers lists daily 11am-11pm, while another listing says 5pm-11pm. Either way dinner is covered. For lunch, check Instagram @pak.g.bingin first.
How much are the cocktails and food?
Large plates start at IDR 120k++ according to Honeycombers (checked October 2026). Cocktail prices were not published in any source we checked; the menu lives in their Instagram highlights. As a yardstick, cocktail bars around Labuansait such as Hatch Uluwatu charge IDR 130-165k before tax. The two cocktails people mention most are the Pho Negroni and the Sichuan Pepper Margarita.
What should I order?
The menu is built for sharing: char siu pork bao, veggie dumplings, chicken satay, braised beef curry, tempeh in betel leaf, som tum salad and Nyonya-style fried chicken. Order a few plates at once and add more in rounds.
Is there a dress code?
Nothing written. Downstairs is deliberately come-as-you-are, so post-beach casual is fine. Upstairs feels more like a city restaurant, so a shirt or a light dress fits better there.
Do I need a reservation?
For dinner, yes. It has been busy from the start and the long tables often go to groups. Message them on Instagram before you come, especially for groups of more than four.
Is there an age limit?
Pak Gula is a restaurant, not a club, so no entry age is published. Alcohol in Indonesia is for 21 and over; bring ID or a passport if you look young. More in our guide to the drinking age in Bali.
What are the downsides?
Jl. Pantai Bingin is narrow and parking is tight, so a ride-hailing bike or your own scooter beats a car. None of the sources we checked mention an ocean view either; come for the food and drinks, not for a clifftop sunset.

One Bingin-specific note: the stairs down to the beach at the end of the road are steep and dark at night. After a few cocktails, save the beach for the next morning.
