Noku Japanese Resto, a robata and sushi restaurant with counter seats facing an open kitchen, is now open at Jl. Sudamala No. 26, Sanur Kauh. Its opening was reported by What's New Indonesia on 26 August 2026 and FoodieS on 31 August 2026, and Honeycombers added it to its Hot New Tables list for October 2026.
What's new
The kitchen is built around a charcoal robata grill for chicken, beef, prawns and fresh fish, plus sushi, sashimi and izakaya-style small plates to share. Most indoor seats are at the counter, with a few tables outside. The Honeycombers review names the salmon and spicy tuna rolls, yaki udon and anmitsu (mochi, ice cream, jelly and red beans) as safe picks.
What it costs
Per-dish prices have not been published online. Bali Food and Travel (15 September 2026) estimates about Rp250,000++ (around US$15) per person for lunch or dinner, and Honeycombers calls the prices fair for the quality.
What it means for visitors
- Hours are still unclear: FoodieS lists Tuesday-Sunday 11am-11pm (closed Monday), while Honeycombers mentions separate breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Check Instagram before going in the morning or on a Monday.
- Few seats: only a handful of indoor seats, so book through the ResDiary link or the contacts on Instagram. Honeycombers notes it sits on the main strip and gets crowded at rush hour.
- Not ideal for large groups who want one long table, because the format is counter dining.

Noku joins this year's run of Japanese and grill openings in Sanur, after Junsei on Jl. Danau Tamblingan with its listening bar and the LUCA steakhouse. For a drink after dinner, Junsei is only a few minutes' drive away.
