Nasi Men Lotri Denpasar: Late-Night Nasi Campur From IDR 15,000

A plate of nasi campur at Warung Men Lotri starts at around IDR 15,000 (about US$1), and the original branch on Jalan Noja I, Kesiman Petilan, opens 17:00-24:00. That is why it is the go-to for students, boarding-house tenants and anyone hungry after dinner hours in Denpasar.

What's on the plate

According to IDN Times and NusaBali, a plate holds rice, fried noodles, pork or beef, sweet-spicy tempeh, shredded fried chicken, crispy fritters and sambal. The special version has more toppings. Fritters can be bought separately.

From dawn nasi jinggo to late-night nasi campur

Speaking to NusaBali in 2021, the founder's eldest son, Wayan Sugiana, said his mother, Wayan Lotri, had been selling food for about 40 years. She started with Balinese cakes, then porridge, then nasi jinggo prepared from 4 a.m. Customers kept coming earlier until the warung became known as a late-night spot, and requests for extra dishes turned it into a nasi campur stall.

How much you'll spend

Who it doesn't suit

It is not halal: pork is the main topping and the chicken option comes from the same kitchen. At the late-night peak you will need patience in the queue. The place is a simple setup on a residential street, so a scooter is the easiest way in. If you want a comfortable seat for a long meal, look elsewhere.
