How Much Is a Massage at The Samaya Seminyak Spa?

A 60-minute traditional Balinese massage at the spa of The Samaya Seminyak is listed at IDR 795,000 on its official menu page (checked October 2026), before tax and service. Once those are added, budget roughly IDR 960,000-985,000 (about US$58-60) for an hour.

What does each treatment cost?

The "Rituals of Touch" menu on The Samaya's official site lists:

• Traditional Balinese Massage: IDR 795k (60 min), IDR 1.1 million (90 min)
• Warm Oil Massage: IDR 795k / IDR 1.1 million
• Samaya Massage (two therapists at once): IDR 1.1 million / IDR 1.45 million
• Aroma Hot Stone Therapy: IDR 850k / IDR 1.2 million
• Reflexology and Indian Head Massage: IDR 680k (60 min)
• Child Massage: IDR 300k (60 min), IDR 650k (90 min)

One caveat: older cached copies of the same page in search engines still show IDR 850k for the 60-minute Balinese massage and IDR 1.2 million for 90 minutes. The live site showed IDR 795k and IDR 1.1 million when checked, so confirm the price when you book.

How much is the tax?

For single treatments, the menu page says a 13.75% government tax and a 10% service charge are added automatically. Tipping is optional. Packages such as Samaya Delight (2 hours, IDR 1.3 million per person) are written "++" with 21% on top.

Is it worth the price?

You are paying for a beachfront resort setting and a quiet treatment room. For a similar technique, day spas on Seminyak's main streets usually charge IDR 270-370k for 60 minutes according to Agoda's spa guide, so the gap is close to threefold.
