A mixed plate of babi guling at Bu Desak Sapat costs Rp35,000, according to a Bali babi guling roundup updated on 26 September 2026. The warung in Banjar Sapat, Tegallalang, opens at 5am and closes around 11am, or earlier once the pig runs out.
What to order
There is essentially one dish: rice with roast pork, crackling, lawar, blood sausage (urutan) and broth. Reviews single out the sambal bawang, a mix of red and green chilli with fried shallots, which is properly hot for unaccustomed palates. You can order crackling on its own. Late-2025 Google reviews quoted by RestaurantGuru mention two portion sizes, about Rp25,000 and Rp35,000.
Sell-out time: when to come
A queue forms before opening, and a sign says no entry before 5am. Arriving around 6am gives you the best chance of every part of the plate while the pig is still whole. After 8am the choice of cuts starts to shrink, and older sources say it usually sells out around 10am. The sensible plan is breakfast here, then on to the Tegallalang rice terraces before the tour groups arrive.
Downsides to know
- No ticket or queue system. This shows up in almost every bad review, so hold your spot.
- No written price list. One reviewer says they were nearly charged Rp35,000 after ordering the Rp25,000 portion; state your portion clearly.
- Parking is tight, especially for cars.
- Some reviews call the meat oily and the place basic. Not wheelchair friendly, and naturally not halal.

Bring small notes. Rp50,000 bills or smaller speed up paying, and a simple warung like this rarely takes cards.
