Turyapada Tower, Bali: Open Yet? Tickets, Booking and Route 2026

As of October 2026, Turyapada Tower in Pegayaman village, Sukasada, Buleleng, is not fully open. Visits are limited to Saturdays and Sundays with online registration on the official site turyapada.baliprov.go.id, while phase II construction, including a cable car, is due to finish in November 2026.

What is Turyapada Tower?

A 115 m digital TV, radio and mobile transmission tower standing at about 1,521 m above sea level, with its tip at 1,636 m, in the hills between Bedugul and Singaraja. The 10-floor tower is also designed as an attraction: a glass bridge on floor 5, restaurants, a viewing deck, a 360-degree revolving restaurant, a skywalk and a planetarium on floor 10. On the official site, the planetarium, 360 view and skywalk are still marked "Coming Soon" (checked October 2026).

Can you visit now?

Yes, with limits. After a soft launch on 27 December 2024, the tower opened to the public on Saturdays and Sundays only, in two shifts of up to 30 people each (Buleleng Regency, January 2025). In February 2025 the provincial government said it would close again during phase II construction. A DJKN Bali-Nusra article (25 June 2026) again described limited weekend visits with online booking, a first session from 10:00 to 12:00 WITA and an afternoon session. Because the information keeps changing, check date availability on the booking page before you set off.

How much is a ticket?

There is no official price yet. During the limited opening, registered visitors entered free, and the fee was still being discussed for inclusion in a regional regulation (NusaBali, February 2025). The Rp500,000 to Rp1 million figures that circulated in the media in 2025 were estimates for full operation, not current prices.

How do you book?

  • Open the booking page at turyapada.baliprov.go.id, enter your name exactly as on your ID card or passport plus an email, then verify the OTP code.
  • Save the e-ticket with your Booking ID and QR code.
  • Arrive 10-15 minutes before your shift. Your physical ID is matched against your registration in the lobby.
  • At the initial opening, children under 12 were not allowed because of strong wind and cold at altitude. Ask whether this rule still applies.
  • Weekdays are only for institutions or organisations that apply by letter.

How do you get there without a tour?

From Singaraja it is about 20 km south, roughly 45-60 minutes on a climbing mountain road. From Lovina about 1 hour. From Denpasar or Sanur about 2.5-3 hours via Bedugul; NusaBali notes the site is not far from the Bedugul Botanical Garden. A car with driver or a scooter is the practical choice, as there is no scheduled public transport. The 940 m cable car from the car park to the lobby will only run after phase II is finished, so follow staff directions on current access.

When is the best time?

Pick the morning session. The official site says the glass bridge looks out over Lake Buyan and the hills, and mist here can roll in at any time. Bring a jacket, as it is much colder at 1,500 m than on the coast.

What are the downsides?

The quota is tiny. In early 2025 registrations were reportedly booked up until May. Many facilities are not open, the schedule can change because of construction, and a Bali Post headline in mid-2026 said the official inauguration target had slipped to early 2027. If you can only come on a weekday, switch your plan to Lake Buyan or stop in Pegayaman village below the tower.

Quick info

The morning session is easier to reach if you sleep in Bedugul, Munduk or Lovina, and you can check AccessiaPass hotel vouchers in those areas before locking in your visit date.
