Yeh Hoo Waterfall is about 2 km from the Jatiluwih rice terraces, and entry is a donation: detikBali (May 2026) says from IDR 5,000 per person, while Bali Holiday Secrets (updated December 2025) lists IDR 10,000 for adults and IDR 5,000 for children, parking included. The fall is small, around 8-10 metres. It works best as a cool-down after a morning walk at Jatiluwih, not as the main event.
A realistic schedule
- 6:45-7:00am leave Ubud. The drive to Jatiluwih takes about 1.5-2 hours on village roads. From Canggu it is similar, longer if you cross Tabanan town during the school run.
- 8:30-10:00am walk the Jatiluwih terraces. Tickets per detikBali, May 2026: foreign adults IDR 50,000, children IDR 40,000; domestic IDR 25,000/15,000; parking IDR 5,000. Morning mist usually lifts before 9.
- 10:00-10:20am drive to Yeh Hoo. Follow the "Air Terjun Yeh Hoo" signs in the Jatiluwih area. The access road is narrow: fine for scooters and small cars, awkward for big minibuses.
- 10:20-11:15am walk down. From the car park it is only 4-15 minutes through small paddies and down railed steps. The climb back up is the hard part.
- 11:30am-12:30pm lunch, for example at Batu Karu Kopi overlooking the fields, then head back before the afternoon rain that often hits the Batukaru slopes.
What Yeh Hoo does not have
There are no toilets, changing rooms or food stalls at the bottom. You get a small stall by the car park selling water and snacks, and a basic shelter at the base to leave your things. The water is cold and fine for a dip, so wear swimwear from the hotel. Rocks at the bottom are slippery, the dirt path turns muddy after rain, and some reviews mention litter around the pool. Children can come if watched on the rocks.
A location note: detikBali gives the address as Banjar Gunung Sari Umakaya, Jatiluwih village, while several travel sites place it in Senganan village. The two are neighbours in Penebel district, and the roadside signs are more reliable than the map pin.

Bali Touristic names February to April as the best months, when the flow is stronger. In a dry month like October the stream can be thin, so treat Yeh Hoo as a bonus swim after the terraces rather than a reason to drive two hours.
