Night Rooster Ubud: Locavore NXT’s Cocktail Bar Distilling Balinese Botanicals and Mystic Folklore

Night Rooster is the cocktail bar of the Locavore NXT family at Jl. Goutama Selatan No. 5 (also spelled “Gootama”), a small food lane in the heart of Ubud. Its two bartenders, dubbed “alchemists” here, Raka Ambarawan and Esy, build drinks from Balinese botanicals and house-made ingredients, then frame every glass with Indonesian folk tales and supernatural stories. In April 2026 the bar was named among Tatler Best Indonesia’s 20 best bars of 2026.

Atmosphere & What to Expect

• An intimate room styled like a colonial-era planters’ club lounge: a long bar, leather banquettes, low lighting and furniture made from recycled tropical wood.
