A plate of nasi pindang at Warung Dadong Rintin costs IDR 15k, owner I Wayan Suarsa told NusaBali on 1 August 2026. The warung, running since the 1960s, is on Jl. Raya Sakah in Batuan Kaler village, Sukawati district, Gianyar. That day Bali Governor Wayan Koster treated locals to free meals here to mark Tumpek Krulut.

What comes on the plate?

The signature is taluh pindang, a spiced boiled egg, served with rice, urap vegetables and sambal matah. NusaBali also mentions a choice of nasi sela (rice mixed with sweet potato) or plain rice. Sources disagree on meat: Media Pelangi says the menu has no chicken or meat, while Newsyess (2024) mentions a chicken option. Ask at the counter.

How much will you spend?

IDR 15k for the rice (about US$1); drinks and snacks are extra. Budget IDR 20-25k per person. The owner puts daily takings at about IDR 6-7 million, a sign of a steady local crowd every day.

What are the downsides?

The menu really is simple. If you want babi guling or plenty of meat, this is not the place.
Opening hours are not listed in any source we found. Check Google Maps before you go.
During events the queue can swell; the owner himself admitted service that day was not at its best.

When should you go?

Locals come from early morning for takeaway rice, so breakfast to late morning is safest before the side dishes run low. It sits on the main road, which makes it an easy stop between Denpasar and Ubud.
