Banyumala Twin Waterfall: A Hidden Twin Cascade Near Munduk

Hidden in the green hills of Buleleng near Wanagiri and Munduk, Banyumala Twin Waterfall is one of the prettiest twin cascades in northern Bali. Two streams tumble side by side into a clear natural pool, framed by cliffs draped in dense greenery. Because it sits far from the main tourist hubs, it remains relatively quiet and far more intimate than Bali's busier waterfalls.

Journey & Access

To reach it, you descend a staircase and forest path for about 10-15 minutes. The trail is fairly steep but built with steps and handrails, so it's reasonably safe if you take care.

  • About 1.5-2 hours' drive from Ubud or Bedugul; easiest by rental car or scooter.
  • The descent gets slippery in rain, so wear hiking sandals or shoes with good grip.
  • Arrive early for the best light and the calmest atmosphere.

What to Bring

  • A change of clothes and a towel, as the pool is tempting for a swim.
  • Drinking water, a light rain jacket, and cash for the entry ticket.
  • A waterproof bag to protect your phone and camera from spray.

After exploring the jungle and swimming in the cool water, round off your northern Bali adventure with a comfortable stay. Browse hotel vouchers on AccessiaPass to find the best accommodation around Munduk and Bedugul.
