Bali Reptile Park in Singapadu, Gianyar, is a reptile park of roughly two hectares sitting directly beside Bali Bird Park. It is small, and that is precisely its strength: a visit takes one to one and a half hours, everything is guided, and children do not get bored. It is an honest choice for families who want an educational outing without walking all day.
What Is Actually Inside
- Komodo dragons — the largest lizards on earth, the main draw and the reason most people come.
- A reticulated python over 6 metres long, plus Burmese pythons and king cobras.
- Crocodiles, iguanas, turtles and salamanders in themed enclosures.
- Three main zones: the Serpent Cave, Hot and Cold-Blooded Point and The Limas.
- Feeding sessions and photos with tame reptiles, usually already included in the ticket.
Ticket Prices and the Bali Bird Park Combo
- Entry is around Rp150,000 for domestic visitors and Rp200,000 for foreign visitors. Some channels list Rp180,000–200,000, so check again when you buy.
- The price already includes a guide who walks round with you — not just an entry ticket and then you are on your own.
- There is a combo ticket with Bali Bird Park next door, saving roughly 17% against buying separately. If you have made it to Singapadu, the combo is the sensible move.
- The last ticket exchange is one hour before closing, so do not turn up at 4.30pm.
When to Come and Who It Suits
- Quiet hours: right at the 09.00 opening, before the tour buses arrive. The reptiles are also more active before the heat builds.
- Realistic duration: one to one and a half hours. Do not make it a whole-day plan; pair it with the Bird Park or carry on to Ubud, only 20–25 minutes away.
- What may disappoint: if you compare it with Bali Zoo or Bali Safari, the collection and the grounds are far smaller. This is a specialist park, not a large zoo.
- Prepare children who are afraid of snakes — many glass enclosures sit at a child’s eye level.
- Bring water and a hat, as parts of the walking route are open to the sun.
