Warung Mami Ikan Bakar Jimbaran: Prices, Hours and Queues

Warung Mami Ikan Bakar on Jl. Uluwatu II in Jimbaran sells just three things: grilled fish, clams and prawns. There is no printed menu. You pick your fish at the front, then it is cleaned, rubbed with base genep spice paste and grilled over charcoal. Opening hours are 12:00-19:00 daily according to the Google listing summarised by Restaurant Guru as of October 2026.

What to order and what it costs

• Grilled fish: Rp65,000 a portion in a 2020 blog review, Rp75,000 in Nex Carlos's video review (October 2021). One fish is about 600 grams and feeds 2-3 people.
• Grilled prawns: from Rp50,000. Grilled clams: Rp35,000-50,000.
• Steamed rice: Rp5,000 (2021). Plecing kangkung (water spinach with chilli) and sambal come with the meal.

2026 prices are not posted online. Google reviews this year report spending Rp25,000-125,000 per person depending on what you order, so budget around Rp100,000 (about US$6) each if two of you share fish, clams and prawns. Bring cash: the warung is listed as cash only.

When to go

TripAdvisor reviewers repeatedly mention a full house and queues at lunchtime. Arrive right at opening or in the late afternoon before 17:00. Fish only goes on the grill once ordered, so expect to wait. An older review also notes the warung stays shut if no fresh fish came in that day; if you are making a special trip, call the number on Google Maps first.

The downsides

It is an open-air roadside warung with no air conditioning, hot and noisy at midday, with limited seating. The listing marks it as not wheelchair accessible. One 2025 guide calls it halal-certified, but we could not find the certificate, so ask directly if that matters to you. The street number also varies between listings (No. 29X and No. 30X); the landmark is opposite 35 Degrees Bar & Restaurant.
