Norii Seminyak in Umalas: What's New, Hours and Menu Prices

Norii Seminyak, the Japanese restaurant that Indonesia Expat and Epicure Asia reported as a new opening in September 2026, occupies the same address as Norii Umalas: Jl. Umalas Lestari No. 88, Kerobokan Kelod. The old "Norii Umalas" page on the Wonderspace group website now redirects to the Norii Seminyak page, and its TripAdvisor listing still uses the old name. So what is new is mainly the name, not a branch in another location.

What to know

• Location: in Umalas, not on Jl. Kayu Aya or Petitenget. If you stay in central Seminyak, allow extra time for Kerobokan's busy roads at dinner time.
• Hours: breakfast 7am-11am, lunch through dinner 11am-10pm (official site, checked September 2026).
• Size: only 34 seats, so book for weekend dinners.
• Kitchen: led by Chef Purna; sushi, robatayaki, ramen and yakitori (pork, chicken, ribeye, fish).

Prices on the official menu

The PDF menu on the Norii Seminyak page lists chicken karaage and gyoza at IDR 45k each, salmon nigiri and hotate nigiri at IDR 80k, and chicken teriyaki don and pork katsu don at IDR 99k. None of these include 21% tax and service, so a lunch of one rice bowl plus a drink comes to around IDR 150-170k (about US$9-11) per person. Signature drinks include the Sakura Spritz and an Apple Pandan Whisky Highball.

A World Sake Day offer runs from 1 to 30 October 2026: buy a bottle of Hakkaisan Tokubetsu Honjozo or Kuroobi Yu Yu Tokubetsu Junmai and get fish or chicken yakitori free.

Who it suits less

If you want high-end omakase, the menu will feel too broad; this is an everyday Japanese restaurant, not an exclusive sushi counter. Wonderspace also runs Riserva in Ubud if you want a more formal meal from the same group.
