Minimum spends at Komune Beach Club on Keramas Beach start at IDR 200,000 per person for a lounger and go up to IDR 1.2 million for a VIP sofa, all redeemable on food and drink (official site, checked September 2026). Run by Komune Resort on Gianyar's east coast, it is open 6am-11pm, and its evenings have something no other beach club offers: surfers under floodlights. Here are the questions people search for most, answered briefly.
What is the minimum spend?
- Lounger or bean bag: IDR 200,000 per adult, IDR 100,000 per child, free under 5.
- Daybed: IDR 500,000, up to 3 adults.
- VIP sofa: IDR 1.2 million, up to 5 adults.
- Towel hire IDR 50,000. According to ELSKY Bali (updated September 2026), tax and service are added on top, and bookings are held for 30 minutes.
Can you swim in the sea?
Best not. The water in front is Keramas, a powerful right-hand reef break, and the beach club itself asks guests not to swim in the surf zone. Swim in the beachfront pool, which is included in the minimum spend. At low tide the rock pools and a small lagoon are fine for light snorkelling; check the tide table first.
When are the night surf lights on?
According to Komune's official site, the lights run 7pm-midnight, with a dawn session from 4-6am. It is a permanent night surfing installation, and bookings cap it at 6 surfers per night. The wave suits intermediate and advanced surfers. Session prices are not published, so ask the resort. If you just want to watch, book a dinner table facing the sea. More on the wave itself is in our Keramas Beach article.
Is there a DJ or live music?
Yes, but don't picture a Canggu-style party. ELSKY Bali lists a poolside DJ on Friday and Saturday from 1-5pm, then the Toba Quarter band on Friday and Saturday from 6-9pm. Schedules change; check Instagram before you go.
Can you bring kids?
Yes, and plenty of families do. There is a kids' cinema on the lawn every evening around 6:30pm. For anyone after an adults-only feel, that is the downside: the pool is busy with children in the afternoon.
How do you get there and back?
- Location: View on Google Maps, Jl. Pantai Keramas, Gianyar
- Travel times (ELSKY Bali): Sanur 25-45 minutes, Ubud 40-65 minutes, airport 50-90 minutes, Canggu 60-105 minutes.
- Bookings: TableCheck via komuneresorts.com, WhatsApp +62 811 2890 1010, or email [email protected] (contacts from the official site).
- Hours: 6am-11pm, last orders 10:30pm.
The biggest drawback is getting home: ride-hailing pickups are scarce in Keramas, so arrange your return car before you set off, especially if you stay for the night surf until 11pm. The Ida Bagus Mantra bypass is also dark and full of trucks at night, not a road for a scooter after drinks. If you want to watch the lights until midnight without worrying about transport, you can look at staying at Komune Resort with an AccessiaPass voucher.
Got a free afternoon beforehand? Sababay Winery is also in Keramas and fits into the same trip.
