Kebun Bistro Ubud: Menu Prices and What to Know Before You Go

Kebun Bistro is at 44 Jl. Hanoman, Ubud, and its mains run from about IDR 125,000 to 370,000 a plate before 6% service and 10% tax, according to the menus posted on its official site. It has been open since 2012, serving French-Mediterranean food, house-baked bread and pastries, and a long wine list. Here is what people usually miss before they go.

• Hours are split by service. Lunch 11am-3pm, dinner 4pm-11pm with last orders at 10pm, tapas from 6pm, and brunch only Friday to Sunday, 9am-3pm. Turn up at 3.30pm wanting a proper meal and you may be waiting for the dinner kitchen.
• The site shows two menu versions. The menu dated August 2025 lists duck confit at IDR 185,000, the Realy Good Burger at 125,000 and a 250 g Australian tenderloin at 370,000. Another menu image on the same site says 195,000, 135,000 and 395,000. Budget with the higher figures.
• Prices are in thousands and not final. "185" means IDR 185,000, then add 16%. Pastas at 85,000-165,000 and thin-crust pizzas at 85,000-125,000 are the cheapest way to eat here.
• Steak and lamb can take up to 25 minutes. The menu itself says so. If you are racing to a 7.30pm dance show in central Ubud, order pasta or a salad.
• Gluten-free is possible, for a fee. Gluten-free pasta adds IDR 15,000; the banana-flour pizza base adds 20,000.
• Daily deals change. The February 2026 promo graphic on the site lists 15% off everything on Mondays, a Midweek Spritz deal Tuesday to Thursday at IDR 170,000 for two, and a 3pm-6pm cocktail hour with 25% off house wine, local beer and selected cocktails. Ask whether they still run.

Skip it if

You came to Ubud for Balinese food. Kebun's menu is almost entirely European, and it costs more than the warungs around it. For Indonesian flavours at a gentler price, Nusantara by Locavore is a better fit. If you want a healthy breakfast on the same street, Clear Cafe is also on Jl. Hanoman.

The easiest time to drop in is usually late afternoon, while cocktail hour is still on and dinner tables have not filled up.
