Pesta Boneka on Wheels in Ubud, 16-18 October 2026: Lineup & Tickets

Pesta Boneka #10, the puppet theatre festival run by Yogyakarta's Papermoon Puppet Theatre, brings its touring edition to Ubud from Friday to Sunday, 16-18 October 2026. The venue is Titik Dua, a boutique hotel at Jl. Cok Rai Pudak No.48, Peliatan, and day one opens at 10:00 according to the official ticket page on Megatix. The Bali leg is called Pesta Boneka on Wheels and carries the theme "Holding Hands" as Papermoon approaches its 20th anniversary.

Who performs and when

• Friday, 16 October: Naranjarte (New Zealand/Spain) performs The Bell at COCA Art Space, followed by Lemah Tulis (Bali) with Wayang Subak: Rare Angon in the amphitheatre.
• Saturday, 17 October: Yinalang Group (Taiwan) with What Is It That I Am Made Of?, Gerhana Carita (Bali) with I Baluan at COCA Art Space, and Wayang Sunar (Bali) with Menyandar Pendar, shadow puppetry lit from inside the puppets.
• Sunday, 18 October: Talentshow Theatre (Thailand) with Ta Lent Show, a wordless mime piece, and KO-KOO-MO (Finland) with Block Theatre, built around human-shaped wooden blocks.

Ventriloquist Bali, with its puppets Krisno and Jegeg Bulan, is also listed as a collaborating artist, but no day is given.

Which tickets are still available

The bali.live listing updated on 4 October 2026 gives IDR 80,000 per show, IDR 463,500 for a three-day pass, and free entry for children aged five and under. The catch: the day passes for all three dates have sold out, so your options are single-show tickets or the three-day pass. Start times for individual shows, other than the 10:00 opening, have not been published, so check Megatix before you set off. Several pieces, such as Ta Lent Show and The Bell, are highly visual, so children and visitors who don't speak Indonesian can follow along.
