Yes, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport has a left-luggage service, and a safe budget figure is Rp50,000-70,000 per bag per day. The catch is that, as of October 2026, InJourney Airports' official Ngurah Rai site does not publish a rate card, so the numbers in circulation come from traveller reports and travel guides that disagree with each other.
Where Is Left Luggage at the Airport?
According to a Trip.com guide (November 2025), the counters are in the arrivals area of both terminals: near the main exit in the domestic terminal, and on the right side of arrivals before the exit in the international terminal. The service has existed since the new terminals opened; Kompas reported it in 2014 and Tribun Bali in 2015. Look for the counter before you walk out to the pickup area, because once outside you have to loop back through the departure entrance.
How Much Does It Cost?
- A price list photographed by a traveller on the TripAdvisor forum (around 2022): Rp60,000 per day for a regular domestic bag and Rp70,000 for a regular international bag; oversize costs more.
- Destination Unpacked guide (2026): Rp30,000-50,000 per bag per day.
- Trip.com (2025 estimate) lists Rp30,000 for a small bag and Rp50,000 for a large one, but calls it per hour. A per-hour rate is odd for airport storage, so ask at the counter whether pricing is per hour, per 12 hours or per day.
- Opening hours also differ by source: 6am-10pm (Trip.com) and 6am-midnight (Destination Unpacked). If your flight is after midnight, do not count on the counter being open.
Whatever rate applies, it is charged per bag. Two large suitcases for five days while you are in the Gilis can come to Rp500,000-700,000, enough for a night in a mid-range hotel.
Off-Airport Alternatives
- Qeepl: spots near the airport from Rp58,900 per bag per 24 hours, insurance included according to its site. The exact address is sent after booking.
- Radical Storage: about US$3.90-4 per bag per day, with points near Seminyak, Ubud Market, Ubud Palace and Canggu.
- Stasher: advertises from US$1.49 per bag per day, with points in Kuta, Canggu, Ubud and near the airport. Check the total at checkout, since the headline price may not be the final price.
- Local services near the airport such as Hey Bali (Rp25,000 per bag per day according to its site) and a few small storerooms in Tuban that offer bag pickup and delivery. These prices are their own marketing claims.
- LuggageHero had no Bali page when checked in October 2026, and Bounce's Bali locations could not be confirmed from its site.
Hotels: The Cheapest Option
Most hotels and villas in Bali will keep guests' bags after check-out at no charge, including when you go to Nusa Penida for two or three nights and come back to the same hotel. Ask at check-in, get a tag or receipt, and photograph your bag. With an evening flight, leaving bags at reception and using the shower room or pool is often easier than paying for storage; see also how to ask for late check-out in Bali.
For a very late flight, a night at a hotel near the airport can be more comfortable than waiting in the terminal; you can use an AccessiaPass stay voucher for that, and we cover transit hotels in Tuban, Kuta and Jimbaran separately.
When Luggage Storage Helps
- One- to three-night trips to Nusa Penida, Lembongan or the Gilis. Fast boats limit baggage and the Sanur or Padangbai piers are awkward with big suitcases; our Nusa Penida fast boat guide covers the routes.
- A noon check-out with a night flight.
- Surfboards or dive gear you will not use for a few days in Ubud or Munduk.
- A long layover in Denpasar before continuing to Labuan Bajo or Lombok.
What Not to Leave in Storage
- Passport, cash, laptop, camera and any medication you need. Compensation for loss is usually capped and small.
- Flammables (camping gas, fuel), wet or perishable food, and animals. Storage services' terms generally refuse these.
- Anything illegal under Indonesian law, including narcotics. Bags at the airport can be inspected.
- Lock the bag, photograph its contents, and keep the receipt until the bag is back in your hands.
Before you set off, message your last hotel and ask whether they can hold your bags. That one-line reply often saves Rp100,000 or more.
