Bali Climate Week 2026 in Sanur: Schedule for 13-17 October

Bali Climate Week 2026 (Pekan Iklim Bali) runs 13-17 October 2026 in the Sanur Low-Emission Zone. Most forums take place at Prama Sanur Beach Hotel, and every session listed so far on the official site is marked free. The schedule below was checked on pekaniklimbali.id on 29 September 2026.

What is new this year

The first edition was held in late August 2025, and the organisers report 923 on-site visitors and 44 sessions. The Sanur Low-Emission Zone itself was launched on 27 August 2025, during that event. This year the week moves to October and is split into four programmes: Public Policy Forum, Climate Investment Forum, Innovation Exploration and a People's Festival. It is organised by the Bali Net Zero Emission Coalition with support from ViriyaENB.

Day by day

  • Tuesday 13 October: Public Policy Forum at Prama Sanur Beach Hotel from 08.30 WITA. From 16.00 to 18.00 there is an open session on Segara Ayu Beach: a co-creation exercise on redesigning parking space plus a talk on reclaiming street space.
  • Wednesday 14 October: Climate Investment Forum, including the "Bali Climate Solutions" pitch day at 13.30-15.00.
  • Thursday 15 October: Innovation Exploration visits to TPS3R Sidakarya, Intaran Market and Serangan Island (08.30-16.00), to Kusamba village (08.00-14.00) and to Sanding village (08.30-12.40). At the hotel, a "Clean Energy Day" is aimed at students and community groups.
  • Friday 16 October: a walking tour of water-absorption projects in Awan village, Kintamani (07.00-15.30), then a visit to the IDEP permaculture garden and a circular-economy session in Pererenan (both 15.00-17.30).
  • Saturday 17 October: People's Festival with film screenings and a pop-up market. The exact venue and times were not yet listed as of 29 September.

Who should go

For travellers, the most accessible sessions are the late afternoon of 13 October at Segara Ayu Beach and the People's Festival on 17 October. The 13-14 October forums are about policy, finance and investor matchmaking, so they will disappoint anyone hoping for a cultural show or ceremony. Field visits run to fixed times from scattered meeting points; Awan village in Kintamani alone is more than 1.5 hours' drive from Sanur.

Getting there and where to stay

From Ngurah Rai Airport to Sanur usually takes 30-45 minutes by car, depending on bypass traffic. Inside Sanur, the beachfront promenade links many hotels and beaches, so walking or cycling makes more sense than driving into a zone that is campaigning for lower emissions. If you plan to join more than one day, staying in Sanur is far easier, and you can check Sanur hotel vouchers on AccessiaPass before mid-October rooms thin out.

Etiquette on field visits

Intaran Market and the TPS3R waste facility are workplaces, not stages. Ask before photographing people, keep out of traders' way, and wear modest clothing with covered shoulders in the villages. If the group passes a temple, follow the guide and stay out of areas where people are praying.

Another yearly community event on the same coast, the Sanur Village Festival, has its own dates and is not part of this week. For the Climate Week itself, recheck the official site about a week before 17 October, because that is where the People's Festival venue will be confirmed.
