Mister Wasabi, a Japanese restaurant at Jl. Padma No. 2C, Legian, has been open daily from noon to midnight since August 2026. It belongs to Bali Mandira Beach Resort & Spa, which announced it in a press release on 21 August 2026. The same group runs Azul Beach Club, Farmer's Daughter, Fat Bowl and Glow Spa.
What is new
Two floors, two moods. Downstairs is an izakaya for sharing plates, cocktails and sake. Upstairs is quieter, with an open kitchen and a sōsaku ryōri approach, creative Japanese cooking that pairs traditional technique with new flavour combinations. Bali Food & Travel singled out the ikura chawanmushi as an early favourite and called the prices reasonable.
What it means for visitors
Bali Food & Travel called it a genuine surprise, since serious Japanese options in Legian have been thin. Guests at hotels around Jl. Padma no longer need to cross into Seminyak for sushi and sake. The catch: no menu or prices had been published on any site or outlet we checked as of October 2026, so ask for the menu on WhatsApp +62 877 8899 3636 before turning up with a group. The official Instagram is @misterwasabibali. View on Google Maps
