A 20–30 minute drive north of central Ubud, in Banjar Sebali, Keliki (Tegallalang), a long infinity pool appears to hang over the Wos river valley. This is Jungle Fish, the pool bar and restaurant of Chapung SeBali Resort & Spa, open to the public rather than to house guests only. The concept is day club, but the backdrop is jungle and valley walls instead of a beach.
The pool and the view
The draw is obvious: an infinity pool facing straight into the green Wos valley, complete with a swim-up bar section. Come early — doors open at 8 am — if you want the water relatively quiet; by late afternoon the crowd builds and the music goes up. Pool access is included as long as you meet the minimum spend on the seat you book.
Minimum spend, not an entry ticket
- Dining table, sun lounger or sofa — around IDR 250,000 per person.
- Daybed — around IDR 500,000 per set, maximum 2 people.
- Cave — around IDR 1.2 million, maximum 4 people.
- Hanging bed — around IDR 1.5 million, maximum 6 people.
- All figures are before roughly 21 percent tax and service charge.
Menu and prices
The kitchen mixes Indonesian and international dishes — nasi goreng, pasta, burgers, salads and cocktail-friendly snacks — with main courses generally in the IDR 90,000–250,000 range. There is also an all you can eat option at around IDR 650,000++ per person (children aged 6–12 around IDR 250,000++), plus afternoon drink promotions. Towel rental runs about IDR 35,000 if you do not bring your own.
Tips before you go
- Reserve ahead, especially for the hanging beds and caves — there are very few of them.
- The road down to Sebali is narrow and steep; a scooter is far easier than a large car.
- Reconfirm the minimum spend when booking, as it shifts with the season.
If you plan to base your holiday in Ubud and close each day with a swim above the valley, look for an Ubud-area stay voucher on AccessiaPass first so the room budget stays under control.
