Bali Bike Park Pancasari: Downhill MTB on the Bedugul Slopes

About 2.5 hours from Denpasar and only 45 minutes from Lovina, Bali Bike Park sits on the Pancasari–Bedugul hillsides, on Jalan Dasong in Pancasari village, Sukasada district, Buleleng, close to the shore of Lake Buyan. At roughly 1,000 m elevation, every trail runs under forest canopy, so the air stays cool all day. It is Bali's only purpose-built downhill bike park — not just a bike tour rolling down village roads.

Trails for Every Level

• Hipsta (blue) — a beginner-friendly warm-up run, plenty of berms and no big jumps.
• Medium (red) — faster, with jumps up to about a metre; a bike with 160 mm travel or more is recommended.
• Sick (black) — experienced riders only, including big features such as the Black Panther.

Packages, Bike Hire and Shuttle

• Day pass: around Rp250,000 for domestic visitors and about Rp775,000 for international visitors (discounts for locals and expats).
• Mountain bike hire with full-face helmet and body armour: roughly Rp450,000 per day for adults and around Rp225,000 for children.
• Shuttle: a pickup truck carries about six riders and their bikes to the start; each lift takes only about 10 minutes, so you can repeat runs all morning.
• Guides and coaching are available for intro sessions — state your level when you book.

Safety and the Best Season

Wear long sleeves and long trousers, since the vegetation beside the trails is thorny, and bring gloves and eye protection. The dry season, roughly April to October, gives the best traction; after rain the volcanic soil turns very slick. Sessions usually run half a day, so eat breakfast first and carry your own water.
