Our take

For Sanur, the prices sit in the middle. It costs more than Leha Leha Spa (from about Rp215,000) and The Nest Beachside Spa (Rp280,000), but the price list is complete and already includes tax, so there are no surprises at the till. Google reviews often praise the therapists' attention to detail and also advise booking ahead because it gets busy. It is easy to reach from hotels along Jl. Danau Tamblingan, and staying in Sanur with an AccessiaPass hotel voucher makes an afternoon massage after the beach far more relaxed.

The downsides

• It shares the building with a salon, a barbershop and a café. The mood is busy, not a quiet resort garden.
• The much-promoted Kérastase Japanese Head Spa is only offered at the Seminyak branch, not in Sanur.
• Afternoon and weekend slots fill fast; walk-ins often have to wait.
