Bali Eling Spirit Tampaksiring: Healing Retreat Price and What's In It

The shortest program at Bali Eling Spirit is the 5-hour Healing Retreat at IDR 1,559,000++ per person, including breakfast, a vegetarian lunch and a free transfer from Sang Spa in Ubud. That price is listed on the official site balielingspirit.com and was checked in September 2026.

Its full name is Pasraman Bali Eling Spirit, a pasraman (ashram) in Banjar Umadawa, Pejeng Kangin, Tampaksiring. According to its About page, it opened in February 2018 under Ida Sri Bhagawan Sriprada Bhaskara (Aji Bhagawan) and his wife Jero Ratni, first as a yoga teacher school. It is run by Eling Group, the same group behind Sang Spa Ubud: the official email uses the elinggroup.com domain, and the older site lists CV. Sang Spa Legendaris at Jl. Jembawan 13B, which is Sang Spa's address.

Many people search for it as "Bali Eling Spa". The official site itself says the Healing Retreat "is not a spa". What it sells is yoga, meditation, sound healing and purification rituals.

How is it different from Sang Spa?

Sang Spa is a day spa in central Ubud. Its 60-minute Balinese massage package (with foot wash and shower) starts at IDR 499,000++ per its website. Bali Eling Spirit sits roughly 6-8 km east of Ubud, in the same area as Tirta Empul temple, and runs guided group sessions. A 1-hour relaxing massage only appears inside the overnight programs such as the Atma, Karma and Punarbawa retreats. If you just want a massage, Sang Spa makes more sense.

What does the 5-hour Healing Retreat include?

• Gentle yoga, breathwork and guided meditation.

• Sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls.
• Vegetarian breakfast and lunch, plus free pick-up and drop-off at Sang Spa.

It runs Tuesday to Sunday from 08:00. The site gives two different end times (13:00 in the FAQ, 14:00 on the program page), so confirm when booking. There is no Healing Retreat on Mondays.

What do the other programs cost?

• Eling Sanctuary Retreat, 2 days 1 night or 3 days 2 nights, starting Tuesday or Friday: IDR 2,989,000-3,989,000++, accommodation included.
• Tapa Brata, 4 days 3 nights, scheduled small-group intakes: IDR 4,999,000.
• 7-Chakra Purification, 3 hours (10:00-13:00), only on Purnama (full moon) and Tilem (new moon): no price published, ask on WhatsApp.
• Surya Namaskar, sunrise to about 10:00 with breakfast: no price published either.

What are the downsides?

• Expensive for half a day. IDR 1,559,000++ is roughly three times Sang Spa's 60-minute massage package.
• Not private. The official FAQ says the standard Healing Retreat is a shared group session with other guests booked that day. Private sessions are sold separately.
• Claims you cannot verify. The site quotes a "97% success rate" for Tapa Brata and the Atma Retreat without saying how it is measured. Treat it as marketing. A retreat is no substitute for care from a mental health professional.
• Needs planning. Every program requires booking at least one day ahead, the program page suggests two, and 7-Chakra Purification requires traditional Balinese dress.
