A plate of smoked chicken at Ayam Asap Dewata costs IDR 30,000, according to a detikBali report that interviewed the owner on 5 September 2026. The tent stall sets up on Jl. Teuku Umar Barat in Padangsambian Klod from 19:00 until midnight, while stock lasts.
What to order
There is one star dish: chicken smoked for about 40 minutes until cooked, then fried for only 10-15 seconds when you order. The result is dry, crisp skin with a strong smoky aroma, not ordinary fried chicken. It comes with a homemade hot sambal and a squeeze of calamansi (jeruk kasturi), a small sweet-sour citrus rarely seen at Balinese stalls.
The owner, Rizki Ananda, is from West Kalimantan and says the stall goes through 15-20 kg of chicken a night, about 65-80 plates. There are a few other dishes, but their prices have not been published.
The downsides
- It is a roadside tent on a busy street, so do not expect comfortable seating or easy car parking. A scooter is far more practical.
- It opens only at night and portions are limited. Turning up close to midnight risks finding it sold out.
- Halal status is not mentioned in any coverage, so ask directly if you need it.
- All of this comes from a single media report; there is no official menu yet, and prices may change.
Hours, location, how to order
- Hours: 19:00 to about 24:00, while stock lasts (checked October 2026 against September 2026 coverage).
- Price: smoked chicken IDR 30,000 per plate.
- Location: See it on Google Maps
- Ordering: walk in; also check whether it has appeared on GoFood or GrabFood.

On the same Teuku Umar stretch, Babi Guling Candra also stays open late, and Nasi Tempong Indra is the pick if you want a fiercer chilli kick. Aim for 19:30-21:00 so there is still plenty of chicken and the street is not yet deserted.
