Zahra Spa Nusa Dua: Is the IDR 375k Balinese Massage Worth It?

A 60-minute Balinese massage at Zahra Spa Nusa Dua costs IDR 375,000 per person, 90 minutes IDR 535,000 and 120 minutes IDR 725,000, according to the price list on its official website, last updated July 2026 (checked October 2026). The spa is a standalone business on Jl. Raya Main Gate BTDC, just outside the resort enclave gate, and its site promises free hotel pick-up and drop-off.

Treatments, duration and price

• Back, neck & shoulder, foot massage, or head & face massage: 60 minutes, IDR 350,000.
• Aromatherapy, deep tissue, lomi lomi or shiatsu: 60 minutes, IDR 400,000 (deep tissue 90 minutes IDR 575,000).
• Warm stone or Thai massage: 90 minutes, IDR 575,000.
• Four-hand massage: 60 minutes, IDR 725,000.
• Pregnancy massage 60 minutes IDR 375,000; children's massage 60 minutes IDR 315,000.

If you want two hours anyway, the packages make more sense. Package I (Balinese massage, reflexology, ginger tea) and Package VI (Balinese massage, body scrub and mask) both run 2 hours for IDR 700,000, slightly less than a plain 2-hour Balinese massage. Couple packages of 2.5 hours start at IDR 1,875,000 per couple.

What sets it apart

The website stresses there is no deposit: you pay after the treatment. Repeat visits earn a discount of 5% on the second, 10% on the third and 15% on the fourth. The owner, Wiwin, started the spa about 13 years ago with two therapists, and it now also does nails, lashes, hair braiding and even tattoos.

The drawbacks

• Prices have gone up. An undated bali.live listing still shows IDR 300,000 for an hour of Balinese massage; the official rate is now IDR 375,000. For comparison, Sekar Jagat Spa charges IDR 525,000 nett for 90 minutes.
• The price list doesn't say whether tax and service are included. Ask when booking.
• A Virgin Australia spa guide notes the air conditioning in some of the larger rooms is weak. If you run hot, ask for a smaller room.
• It sits on the main road by the BTDC gate rather than in a quiet resort garden, and because it doubles as a nail salon and tattoo studio, it feels busier than a hotel spa.
