Uma Garden Umalas: Tuesday Jazz, Thursday Blues, What It Costs

Uma Garden at Jl. Umalas 1 No.8 has live jazz every Tuesday and live blues every Thursday from around 7.45pm, with no entry fee; you just order food or drinks (official site, checked October 2026). It's a wood-fire restaurant in an open garden, not a club, and that's the appeal: the music is played among the tables rather than from a distant stage.

What happens on music nights

Tuesdays feature resident players with an electro-jazz twist; January 2026, for instance, had a jazz night with Dizzy & Wicked. Thursdays belong to the Blues Mates, which Uma Garden calls the slowest, warmest night of the week. On top of that there are special events, such as an Open House with Ramu Kitchen and Coca Selekta (June 2026) and an 8 Hands Dinner (February 2026). The latest schedule goes up on Instagram.

What it costs

• Signature cocktails IDR 155,000-165,000: Spiced Pear Mojito, Wood Fire Lemon Sour, Passion Chili Margarita.
• Premium cocktails IDR 250,000, including the 30-day Barrel Aged Negroni; a regular Negroni is IDR 200,000.
• Kura Kura Island Lager on draft IDR 75,000 (330 ml) or IDR 115,000 (500 ml).
• Wine by the glass from IDR 170,000.
• Food: pasta IDR 120,000-165,000, grilled half chicken IDR 160,000, steaks from IDR 350,000 (300 g Chateaubriand), tomahawk IDR 1.95 million per kg.

All prices add 10% tax and 7% service (menu updated 13 October 2026). Two people with two signature cocktails each and a pasta apiece come to roughly IDR 1.1 million after tax. Add steak and the number climbs quickly.

Honest verdict

For a relaxed jazz night near Seminyak without buying concert tickets, Uma Garden makes sense. The downsides: it's a dinner night, not a dancing night, and the best tables go fast because Tuesday and Thursday are its two busiest evenings, according to its own FAQ. Steak prices are also on par with hotel steakhouses. If you want a loud rock band or a DJ until dawn, this isn't the place.
