Tukad Jinah Tubing, Manduang: Half-Day Route from Sidemen

Tukad Jinah Tubing in Manduang village, Klungkung, offers two packages: a short 1 km run and a long 2.5 km run. The standard price when it opened on 13 April 2022 was Rp100,000 (about US$6), and as of October 2026 the operators have not published a new rate, so ask before you set off. From Sidemen it is close enough for a half-day plan that ends before lunch.

07:30: Leave Sidemen

Take the main Sidemen road downhill towards Semarapura. It winds through rice fields and runs downhill almost the whole way. Allow 30-45 minutes by car or scooter, depending on where you stay in the Sidemen valley. Manduang sits in Klungkung district, north of Semarapura town, so type "Tukad Jinah Tubing" into Google Maps rather than just the village name. 08:15: Breakfast by the river

Since May 2026 Klungkung's tourism account has been promoting Warung Adung inside the Tukad Jinah Tubing area: a coffee stop overlooking rice fields and the river, serving tipat kare (rice cake in curry), srosob and rice porridge. No source lists its opening hours yet, so treat it as a bonus rather than the plan.

09:00: Into the river

The village provides lockers, towels, changing rooms, showers, guides, tubes, paddles, life jackets and helmets. The 1 km run suits first-timers. The 2.5 km run gives you more time between the cliffs and village gardens. No official duration is published; as a rough guide, set aside one to two hours including the briefing and changing.

Things to weigh before you book

• October is the tail end of the dry season. Small rivers in Bali usually carry less water than in the wet months, so the current can be slow and some stretches shallow. Ask about water levels the day before.
• Public information is thin: the last announced price dates from 2022 and session times are not listed. This is a village-run attraction, not a large rafting operator.
• Not ideal if you have a back injury, as the tube can bump over rocks in shallow sections.
• Bring a change of clothes, strapped sandals and a dry bag for your phone.

11:00: On to Semarapura

From Manduang the town centre is a short drive. Stop at Kerta Gosa to see the Kamasan-style wayang paintings on the pavilion ceilings, then walk next door to Semarapura Market if you want to browse endek weaving. After lunch, the climb back up to Sidemen takes about as long as the drive down did.
